Sandy, Yeast is in your body naturally, but things can happen and you can get an overgrowth which is not healthy for you. Generally you would have vaginal yeast infections as well, but not necessarily. Many times it is related to having been on a lot of antibiotics and your diet, but there are so many factors. I totally recommend getting "The Yeast Connection and the Woman", by G. Crook, MD. There is also "The Yeast Connection Cookbook"...I have both. I have a lot of candida overgrowth because I had been on antibiotics so much. Now, whenever I take them I alway get diflucan to treat a yeast infection because it is inevitable. There's so much going on with me that I don't know where to start!!! Sunny <wellnessnow@...> wrote: Sandy, in the past years ago, I had a raging yeast infection in my pelvic area. Lots of pain, but no way to test in a lab. No one could figure it out! I went to a chiropractor/naturopath and he pin pointed it for me. After 3 years of a changed diet, gone. It's amazing. Most people think a yeast infection is vaginal, and it goes no further.Love,Sunny :)>> This may be a dumb question.> I cannot ask my

No, I wait until I'm done with the antibiotics and then take the diflucan, otherwise you risk not getting all of the yeast. I will eventually need to go to a natural doctor and try to rid myself of the candida in my body...it will never go away unless I do. I don't get yeast infections like I used to, mainly when I take antibiotics which I try to avoid at all costs. I have asthma and used to get chronic sinus infections that would go into my chest and turn into bronchitis and then pneumonia. At that point I would end up on a burst of steroids. I have changed my diet drastically and now I usually only get the infections once or twice a year. In fact I am just starting to get sick for only the second time this year and I am heading to the 10 minute clinic to get on the antibiotics before it can get to pneumonia.(no insurance :( I don't recommend this for anyone though....I know my body and when I need antibiotics.

However, antibiotics are used way too much so people need to be careful. I was so sick for so long when I lived in Arizona that my doctor had me on antibiotics every other month. I feel like my immune system has gotten better but still has a ways to go.GMCLADY98@... wrote: Jen...do you take the antibotic and diflucan at the same time ?

Not fun...have you tried drinking 100% cranberry juice? It's very sour and definitely takes getting used to, but it's good for that kind of stuff. I suppose you could add stevia or some other organic sweetener to it. I get it at trader Joes or at an organic grocery store. It's flash pasterized and usually in the cooler section.
