Guest guest
So,I don`t really care for the bone broth, however,i`m reading another book my a local author from the 1800s,and she tells how to make some good soup.Says it must be from the shank bone from the cow.Well, they do sell these at meijer, but,I highly doubt they are from grass fed cows. The organic meat market sells bones, but, they are not the shank. Can`t recall what they are.Have some in the freezer, but I don`t feel like looking at the moment.I do like good soup,so,amybe we can get some of the benefit that way.She tells how her mother made different soups,One i`m most interested in is vegitable, with maybe a bit of meat in it.Now,I can eat the bone broth if it is made with good soup.I think,my kids will too.She says to have the butcher crack the bone.I bet she would not believe how hard it is to even get meat bones in this day and age.The organic beef at meijer has no bones at all.In fact, the non organic beef has no bones in it.All they have is a few shank bones on the shelf. In my ignorance of the art of cooking,I did not know that shank bones made the best soup.Tell what they fed their chickens. We used to raise chickens, but the cost of feeding them is one reason we don`t have them.Another,is,I can`t stand the cold and hated to go out in the winter to take care of them.Wish I lived someplace warm.Dealing with my son`s transition to adulthood stuff coming up.Trying to find a new school for my daughter. If i can`t,i`m pulling her out to homeschool.Going to buy some material to teach dyslexic kids and teach her myself.Would be easier to put her on GAPs if she is homeschooled.
