Hi Everyone,

I hope this email is finding you all feeling well. Well I have not been feeling

very well, as you all know from my last post of me telling you that my glands

really hurt.

They still really do, and thank you Rosemarie for your advice, I did try to

massage them a little, but they are so tender right now Ugh... but anyways, I

have had a pretty

exciting and very interesting evening tonight that I wanted to share with you

all.

Ever since I first got a computer, and the Internet, I have been trying to find

my old childhood best friends from when i was only ten years old.

They were my next door neighbors when we were living in England. Anyways, I

didnt have any luck through the years. And then last week I decided to try to

see if their brother was on facebook, beings they both obviously would have

different last names from when I knew them from probably getting married.

Sure enough I found their older brother and looked at his Siblings and boom,

their was my two best friends, June and Joanne.

Well I friend requested both of them on facebook, and about a week went by,

tonight Joanne accepted me on there and told me to call her straight away.

In which I did, she was so delighted to hear from me as it had been 37 years

since we last got to see or speak to each other. We talked about all kinds of

things, where we had moved to around the world, marriages, kids etc... and then

we started talking about health.

We discovered through our conversation that we both had Multinodular goiters and

had them removed the exact same year as each other, but then what really

freaked me out was that she told me that her Sister June who was the exact same

age as me has Fibromyalgia. I could not believe what I was hearing.

She gave me Junes phone number, and she was also very excited and shocked to

hear from me after all of these years went by. We both could not believe that

we both have Fibromyalgia. It really made me wonder if our disease was not

caused by some kind of harmful vaccine that might have been giving to us both

from when

we were kids. As we like I said lived right next door to each other, and we both

lived on an airforce base. As our fathers were in the Airforce.

As we talked about our illness, she told me that she had always had problems

even as a kid. She said she would get this strange pain here or there and yet

the doctors

never knew why or had an explanation for her many pains as a child.

It finally took a bad car accident to throw her into full blown Fibromyalgia. I

told her, yes it was also because of a trauma that triggered mine as well.

And I also told her that as a child I can remember that when I would go to bed,

I always had to move my legs because if I kept them still it would feel like I

had ants crawling inside of my skin.

So Ive always had Restless leg syndrome, and I told her that I had IBS in my

twentys, and by my thirtys is when I was hit with Fibromyalgia as a diagnoses.

She told me that she uses Biofeedback for relief, I'd never even heard of

Biofeedback before, so I looked it up tonight online. Kind of looks complicated,

but theres alot to read on it.

But how strange is it to find my old childhood best friend from when I was only

ten years old to find out 37 years later that she has the exact same disease as

me.

What are the odds of that. And it really makes one wonder exactly where does our

disease come from and what caused it in the first place.

The only illness I can remember that really knocked me on my butt when I was a

kid was that I had the Mumps at five years old, so that was before I even met

June or Joanne. I dont remember being sick when we were best friends.

I hope this didnt bore any of you, I just had to share the story with you all

though because you are like family to me.
