Hi Joanne, I read some of it. It mentions the bacteria that is on the plant

helps us digest that plant. That is a bit different than Bee says we make it

ourselves, but note it says the genes of the bacteria, so our body would still

have to make the bacteria out of the genes. And what if we are washing away all

that bacteria-that is going back to having things too clean. As I mentioned, we

played in the dirt a lot, but I don't remember eating it. I read people who

garden, are healthier. I read somewhere that people who are too clean are more

depressed. I am not as worried about the bacteria in the soil, as I am the

chemicals added to kill weeds. It is possible what you are doing now is enough

to build up uour gut flora enough for you to function well, but perhaps not

enough to digest the starch. No one can really function trying to digest any

form of sugar.

Bee does not approve of probiotics and I did stop using them a while bak, but I

am wondering now if there is anything more I can do

really would like to strengthen my gut bacteria further, since it is clear that

abundant gut flora is a marker in good health. I guess some of this is that we

will have to wait and see
