Hi Joanne,

Did you read the recent posts from Bee,about the memory foam mattresses-how bad

they are. My sister bought a pillow top one-ended up it seemed to make her hurt

more. I heard for years about mattress problems because of toxins in them.

Hi,

Regarding mattresses and natural ones, a few years ago I saw mention of a

company in the UK (I think in or near London) that was the last remaining

company making traditional horsehair mattresses.

Dearer than average but you are getting skill and natural materials and they do

last a very very long time.

Unfortunately can't afford one myself, but everyone remarks how well they sleep

on my grandmother's old, old horsehair one and one guest requested it never be

replaced by my parents!! :-)

Hi

I have been pondering this one most of today. It seems both the memory foam and

spring mattresses contain some level of toxicity, but the memory foam do not

have the springs and are not attracting the electromagnetism.

I am wondering if a good quality allergy protector might be useful. Some of them

have a plastic barrier (no doubt toxic too lol) but I am thinking might help

I am just going to keep searching. I know one thing, these organic memory foam

mattresses are a joke, £1,500 yeah WHAT EVER !!!!

I am wondering if I might find a manufacturers that might part with one before

the chemicals added. No doubt that illegal. I dont know I will keep

investigating

thanks for letting me know . I do think on balance the memeory foam, are

probably the better bet

Love Joanne
