Guest guest
Have you had your b12 tested? I know when my B12 is below 500 my hands and feet hurt-  Ciao- Ange  ________________________________ To: fibromyalgiacured Sent: Wed, May 4, 2011 6:44:34 PM Subject: hands and feet  I have a question. My hands and feet have been hurting for weeks. All day long, not just in the morning. It is the bones themselves that hurt. My joints pop. It hurts any time I stand up. My hands hurt so bad it is hard to hold a glass. I have carpel tunnel but this is different. This is not my wrist but the palms of my hands. Suggestions? This is really interfering with what I am able to do each day. It is hard to type for my school papers. I would appreciate any helpful ideas. maryruth
Guest guest
ruth this sounds like a reaction to something you ate? Something acidic maybe? Some new vitamin? Are you drinking lots of water? I would start there. If you have introduced something new recently take it out of your diet and see what happens. Eggplant and tomatoes do that to me. If I don¹t¹ drink enough water, like 64 oz a day I feel some of that also. Hope this helps. Good luck with your schooling. rosemarie > > > > > > I have a question. Guest guest
Hi, If using a laptop I would recommend getting a riser and a separate keyboard that you can position as you please, less strain on the hands and arms. Also use the cursors instead of the mouse where possible, the mouse causes a lot of muscle tension and pain for us. That' s what I do. Guest guest
No problem. I can't recommend the riser highly enough because it also raises the screen to a better level (adjustable to taste). Thus benefitting our neck and head and shoulders. Any prevention of pain, strain and stiffness is a win-win situation!!  Siobhán ________________________________ To: fibromyalgiacured Sent: Thu, 5 May, 2011 21:49:59 Subject: Re: hands and feet  Siobhan  I did not think of this. You are right about the computers. If I am on my ap top for long my hands can be very much affected. I think the electromagnetism that comes off them can be an issue with this too  I have been trying to get hold of a computer desk for most of this week but so far no luck. I have moved my laptop onto our dining table and this has already helped. My daughters boyfriend has said he is going to give me his desktop computer soon, and I hope he does. I am certain that desk top PCs are better than laptops for all the reasons you have mentioned and because of this electromagnetic thing  LOL, its set me off again, I am now talking to myself telling myself I am spending too much time on this computer again. Oh well, there has to be a half way line Mmmmmmmmm  Thank you, so kindly for mentionin this, I do think it is something I need to be thinking about  Love Joanne Subject: Re: hands and feet To: fibromyalgiacured Date: Thursday, 5 May, 2011, 19:23  Hi, If using a laptop I would recommend getting a riser and a separate keyboard that you can position as you please, less strain on the hands and arms. Guest guest
Yes , that is it. Models vary, mine is silver, my husband's one black. Some have fans on them , which is handy to avoid overheating but I end up turning it off due to noise. Mine also has a USB port built in, great to have an extra one. I can't imagine someone putting one on freecycle unless the fan/electrics has ceased working and they wanted a new one. You never know.  Siobhán ________________________________ To: fibromyalgiacured Sent: Mon, 9 May, 2011 15:36:10 Subject: Re: hands and feet  Hi Siobhan  I am getting a bit bad for missing out the attachments, too much rushing  Here it is again  http://www.amazon.com/Fellowes-80320-Laptop-Riser-Office/dp/B0002LD0ZE  I am wondering if I might find one on freecycle  Love Joanne Subject: Re: hands and feet To: fibromyalgiacured Date: Thursday, 5 May, 2011, 19:23  Hi, If using a laptop I would recommend getting a riser and a separate keyboard that you can position as you please, less strain on the hands and arms.
