Guest guest
Hi nancy: I have heard of all those things happening when people detox. It depends on two things. 1. how many toxins a person has in his body. Some people are way more toxic than others. 2. how fast you do the detox. Personally when detox I cut everything in 1/3. I do NOT want to have heavy detox reactions so I do it slowly. I find that if I detox too fast I will have a fibro flare that can last a long time past the detox. As far as ulcerative colitis I would be wary of which detox program you do. If there are a lot of veggies yu will suffer more because veggies give you lots of BM¹s and bowel activity. If you do anything with psyllium husks in it that too can aggravate your colon because it scrapes the sides of it clean of toxic buildup. I would ask for a detox diet that is for people with ulcerative colitis. You don¹t want a flare up of that. That is a serious issue. My sister in law has it and has been hospitalized several times with blood transfusions etc. So, your situation is very unique. Ask a very qualified practitioner how YOU should perform it on YOUR body. Very slowly and very gently I would suggest for sure. Let us know how you do go about it. I would love to hear. rosemarie > > > > > > I read a whole lot about detoxing? > I believe it, because lots of people are talking about it, the question i have > is know one talks about what happens to the body during the detox. > I am going to ask some rather disturbing questions > do you get sick, vomit, have diarrhea, need to stay home from work, etc > I have gotten to the point where I want to try it, and frankly I'm afraid it > will change my daily routine, I can't use the bathroom, a lot, I have > ulcerative > colitis also and when its going awry I have diarrhea.
