Guest guest
Hi folks, I am new here and have my first question. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and was prescribed 30 m.g. Cymbalta b.i.d. by a rheumatologist. Just about every one of my bodily systems is affected, but it is the generalized pain, and especially the fatigue, that is the most troubling of symptoms. After being on the Cymbalta for six weeks, I have noticed no reduction in pain, and have actually felt more tired than ever before. So, even with bad fibro-fog at times, it seems to be a no-brainer for me to try another medication. I was wondering what medications you have found helpful for the fatigue...something more energizing. I have read that some individuals with extreme fatigue are actually prescribed stimulants, but I believe that my rheumatologist will be more open to some of the tried-and-true SSRI's and SRNI's. Any thoughts? And to close this message, I can't say enough about how relieving it is to have read the various postings over the last week. Sometimes, I thought I was losing my mind with the wide-variety of unpredictable and largely-invisible symptoms, and it has been so very helpful to know that other people have similardifficulties. Of course, I wish we all felt better, but it is nice to know that I am not alone. Thanks! Tom Age
Guest guest
Dear ALL Corvalen M (D-Ribose) preparations with magnesium and Mallic Acid preparations seem to be a better choice in management of FM along with mild yoga excercies. I did some googling and this is evident from the suggestions given by Astral gazer. My wife who is sufferring from FM is better nowadays with fresh juice made from Fresh Apples. Avoid ones which are stored and have been shined with wax, Magnesium calcium tablets can also bee taken and Apple sider vinegar seems to be having some more added benefit. These are outcomes of some quick googling. May be others can google on these line and stand to benefit. Best Wishes YUVARAJ.J.,  Subject: Re: Cymbalta To: fibromyalgiacured Date: Wednesday, 2 February, 2011, 2:38 PM  Hi Tom, I was at my doctor in the last week or so because of a flare. We talked about Cymbalta, Lyrica, muscle relaxers... I decided against them all. I thought maybe I'd try the muscle relaxer and let him prescribe it and when I read the warning, it said possible heart racing and hallucinations. It scared me too much to even try it. I will tell you what has helped me enormously. It's a supplement, not a drug. And I went from walking like a cripple and pulling myself upstairs with both hands, to walking pretty normal and taking the stairs without even touching the rail. I also had pain in my feet, ankles, knees, hands and other places, but mostly those places. The pain in my feet, ankles, knees, hands and most places is gone except for the ligaments at the tops of my thighs. This is where it gets me still. I also went to almost zero chronic fatigue until the cold flash in S. Califorinia recently. Then it seems I was getting fatiqued again. But today was better. I had been pretty good since June until this recent cold flash. But it did feel like CFS since the cold weather caused a flare, which I have almost never had since I believe June 12th, but I now can't remember when I began this product. I will have to check. The product takes 10 days to kick in. Okay... the product that basically wiped out my CFS and most of the fibro is called CORVALEN M (with an M). Here is the lowest price one I know of on the net: http://www.betterhealthinternational.com/productDetails.asp?prodID=CV2333 & utm_so\ urce=googlebase & utm_medium=comparsionshopping & CAWELAID=346221838 They have a phone number so you don't have to order online if you don't want to. I'm also going to post about malic acid combined with some other supplements. I know nothing about this, but I heard from a woman I met Monday that two of her friends use it and it abated their fibro symptoms. But I have no experience with malic acid. But the studies with CORVALEN M I believe show 65% energy increase and 45% pain decrease. You can look corvalenrx.com to get the stats. But I do use it and so do two friends with good results. We still have fibro but we are so much better. I interviewed for a job Sat for the first time in yrs. It's not a cure, but it definitely decreases pain and CFS for some of us and no side affects unless you take too much. Or unless you have a lot of magnesium in your diet already. You need to take it apart from anibiotics and bone density drugs if I remember correctly. You can call the company whose number should be on the corvalenrx.com site. The company is Bioenergy Life Science. In fact I have the tub of it and the # hold on... 1.. They did studies and it doesn't cause candida, it's only a 5 carbon sugar molecule not nearly as big as our table sugar which is a much larger molecule. It's safe for diabetics and hypoglycemics, just take with a few carbs like juice or whatever you consume in carbs. They say don't take right b4 bed as it gives you energy, but natural, not like a coffee energy. If you feel at all anxious which is very uncommon, just lower the dose a bit. A one month supply is about $34. If you like it, you can get it on auto ship from prohealth.com for about $32. My local, very famous homeopathic store in Santa charges $61 because they know it works and people are desperate. Anyway, it's worth a try to see if it works for you. I found best results when taking in the morning and late afternoon. Good luck. Jean > > Hi folks, > > I am new here and have my first question.
