Guest guest
HI First let me say, I have so been there and done that! I spent years in that condition. And I also gained 50 pounds. Have you been checked for perimenopause? Your hormones may be a big part of the culprit. They will give you the depression the weight gain and groggy thinking too. Also, have you been checked for candida? A natural type of doc will do that for you. My opinion, and I am not medically trained, is that those drugs you take are adding to your problem they have not solved it and they do toxify your liver. I would find a natural physician who can help wean you off those and onto natural pain meds made from natural substances. You need a big detox program too. To detox those drugs. My sister also ended up in the psyche ward on those very drugs. Sad ay? She got off of them and onto natural meds. Naturopaths. Let me know if this helps ok? Guest guest
I have tried to do everything naturally except the meds due to the fact that I am a single mom, not working because of the fibro. We are struggling financially and all of my meds are free with my gov. medical. I will try to budget in natural alternatives but it won't be a whole lot to spend. What can I do? Are naturapaths fees very high? Thank you T-Mobile. America's First Nationwide 4G Network. Re: Sick and tired of being sick and tired HI First let me say, I have so been there and done that! Guest guest
Dear Joanne, Thank you for responding back so quickly to my plea for help. It is wonderful to finally talk to someone who understands what I go through on a daily basis. I would love to believe that there is hope for me yet to have a somewhat normal life again. I'm hoping this doesn't sound like I am complaining but these are some issues I deal with on a regular basis. First stressor, the house is almost always a wreck because of lack of strength and energy. My memory and lack of concentration has its effects on my organization of anything and everything, also forgetting appts, school projects, birthdays, events etc. My new phone, however, has ben helping with that, putting in all important dates it alerts me to everything I put in it. But I constantly forget things I have promised my children and I have never done that. It pains me that I cannot play with my children like I once was able to do. They are always asking if mommy can play this or play that and all I can say is mommy is in too much pain, maybe later. I at least am able to take them to the movies at times but even going to the park, all I can do is sit back and watch. I am always running late to family gettogethers. I think my family understand but only to an extent. It takes forever to get out the for door, especially five of us and my pain runs me very slow. Well these are just a few things that has made my life chaos and more stressful, though the doctor says to stay as stress free as possible, that is a joke in its self. Lol. I am paying this site will bring me some way of betting back to a fabulous life filed with a bit of peace and tranquility. Maybe even feel better and healthier before the One question I have is how in Gods name can I quit smoking? I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that my body could be one toxic pit even with the healthy organic eating and chemical free all natural cleaning. That would be amazing to detox all of those toxins and feel the euphoria of a clean body. I am looking forward to any help I can get. Thank you again, Joanne, for taking the time to listen to my troubles and offering what help you have for me. Last year had a crazy breakdown of depression due to trying a new medication and ended up in a psyche ward for five days. Luckily it was very normal with people mostly with depression, not crazy. So I have been taking Celexa once a day since that chaos. In the past I have been in and out of ERs when not having my medication, I have been stuck in bed for days at a time. I really dont like taking medication like this, never been one for drugs. I am worried that these meds might be destroying my liver. Guest guest
, Why dont you try yoga and Transcedental Meditation. A deep TM sitting will help you to drive away your blues. TM is taught by Maharishi group. Religion apart, what really helps is the concept and application which will certainly help to overcome your blues and be at peace with yourself. Guest guest
Hello, thank you for the advice. I have been wanting to get into yoga. Dabbled in it a little in the past. Do you have any suggestions on videos I could start with and also the meditation...where do I find a video or site to learn this technique proudly? Thank you so much T-Mobile. Guest guest
Hi , I had tried a so called healthy diet, but still had low blood sugar, bladder problems, and ended up with fibro. I have been on Bee's diet as mentioned by Joanne, for over 2 years. My healing was amazing, although it was and still is, a up and down process. I started gradually changing, and now only have problems when I go off the diet. My brain function even got better, as was not so introverted, and shy. I started remembering numbers better. I started noticing the clutter more, and was able to do something about it. I went through stuff to sell even more than before, and was not as attached to things. You have already made some good changes, but there is real hope you will continue to improve on Bee's diet. If you can also get out in the dirt, with your daughters, plant something, it will help. Hope you will feel up playing with them when going to the park, or the zoo with them. Do you read with them? Stress, and our emotions are a major problem with all of us, and will make us hurt worse. If your diet is very good though, like Bee's, you will be able to handle the stress better. Your negative emotions will even start to be eliminated from you. About smoking, I am sending a link to a good article on quitting. My mom and sister smoked, and I lost both of them to cancer. I and my other sister never smoked, but I stayed in the house with my mom for 40 years, breathing in her secondhand smoke. As you go even lower on carbs, and get more good fats, your cravings will be less of a problem. http://www.watchtower.org/cgi-bin/lib/ProcessForm.pl Hope this helps. Best wishes, C. > > > Dear Joanne, > Thank you for responding back so quickly to my plea for help. Guest guest
Hi , Just to mention, you do not need a naturapath, just Bee's diet and the supplements she mentions. I used to be on many meds, and was able to get off them, but it was not easy. they prevent you from detoxing. As you ween off them, you will have more symptoms of detoxing. You can talk to your doc about getting off some of them, but you may want to do Bee's diet and supplements for months first, and it will be easier to give them up. Actually although organics are best, you can heal without going all the way with them. Are there any farmer's markets there? I buy cheap meats, although they are unprocessed. Guest guest
Hi michelle: Yes, I understand the money situation perfectly well. But if I offered you rat poison for free would you take it? That¹s a little harsh but I just wante to make a point. They give out free drugs but not free nutrition. They are crazy. Maybe you can clip coupons. Start with one simple cheap thing. Baking Soda. Take a teaspoon every morning 1/2 hour before you eat. I leave it by my toothbrush so I don¹t forget and eat first. This will alkalize your system and one guy says it will kill candida. This could give you energy and mental energy as well. I am trying it but only since one week ago. So I can¹t testify yet to it working, but for a couple of bucks its worth trying right? You can google it. That way you check it out for yourself. You can rent meditation and yoga videos from the library for free. No cost to you. Your library is full of free things. Recipes, books, advice books, meditation CD¹s, calming music CD¹s etc. all free. Its a wonderful service to the community. Take your kids and let them rent books too. Its a nice Saturday or Sunday trip as a family. Very uplifting for them too. Naturopaths fees can be high. You have to check and you may find one who is willing to work with you based on your condition and financial situation. Some of them are so compassionate. Some are not. So check around. Phone calls and interview THEM. Make sure they are who YOU want to spend time with and accept as a helping buddy along your path. Good luck. Also, go on the sight Joanne recommended. It will just change your grocery list to healthier way of eating for you and your kids. Guest guest
Hi : Great advice you give here. I have only dabbled in Bees diet. I am starting to get more serious though. Its so hard for me to follow formats for some reason. I don¹t¹ cook much. I tend to eat boiled eggs, or buy a cooked chicken from the health food store. A recipe is a format and for some reason my brain doesn¹t want to go there. It actually bugs me. I buy the stuff and then forget to use it and it goes bad. Its a serious issue with me. Cooking with recipes. I paint and read a lot. I can tell you everything I read. I can give you a seminar on it. I can paint for hours and finish those projects up very well. Maybe its words. Maybe I need pictures of the recipes. LOL I don¹t know. But do you have any suggestions of how to navigat Bees webs ite easier? I get lost there. Guest guest
Hi Rosemarie, My mom used to do all the cooking, and I only did it for a while after she broke her leg. I left home at 40, but did not take any cooking skills with me. It was so much easier not to do a lot of cooking, and I got fruits, vegetables, and yogurt, but not enough meat or fat. I was not a vegetarian, by any means, but still I know now, I got too many carbs. I remembered some of how my mom cooked, but she has passed away now, and wished I had paid more attention. There are paleo websites on cooking meat, and Bee has a recipe group. I make it simple, as I just put some ghee or coconut oil in a ceramic/pyrex dish with a lid, and put some meat in it, cook at 300 for as long as it takes to get done-usually an hour or 2 according to how thick it is, and if it is thawed out. I cook it well done, but that is not entirely necessary. About 40 min before the meat is done, I just throw in some low carb vegetables, and cook it all together. I think veggies taste better cooked on top of the stove with lots of butter, but this is easier. It was a year or so before I tried the egg drink, but it was not bad at all. I don't add a lot of spices, and never add sweeteners. I always put my calcium and magnesium powder, and sea salt in it for breakfast. http://paleofood.com/ I use only organic spices though. My niece gave me a great cookbook, and food info, but there is nothing like just getting your hands into it, and just figuring it out as you go. I gradually read, and reread Bee's site, and gradually made changes. I knew I had cravings for sugar, but did not know it was also for carbs in general, and I had to struggle, but it got easier. Bee gives links to which to read when you join her group. Some people print out some of it. The most important part is just the diet and supplements. Most of the rest is just how it works. I know now why, and how it works, but first just trust it as is. You need the ratios as well from fitday to figure how much fats, protein, and carbs for your height. I always liked to read, paint, and do crafts. I would like to sew more. Hope this helps some.
