I see a few of you comments about the stimulator. And yes, I was

concerned about infection. i was concerned about getting use to the

stimuli, I was concerned about having a device implanted in me.

But, I was told by my doctors( 3 of them) that the pain pump has it's risks too

and that many people on the pain pumps will have to also have to take meds for

there Hormones and Thyroid due to the pain pump.

Plus it would be great not to have to take all the Morphine. I was told that the

stimulator could give me the chance to walk again.

So what choices do you have? I just hope I am making the right choice. They what

to implant it on Monday and make it permanent.

How about you people who have had one for years, what are your

experiences. Was it worth it?

Hi, i had one put in last monday and had it taken out on tuesday.

it's very frustrating to use and all i got was a tingling sensation

in my thighs, which was all it was supposed to do. I have leg pain

from failed back surgeries. a morphine pump is next.

I had stimuator for about 2 years. I had very good results for the

first year or so, then it became more iritating than anything.

Mine was installed for RSD of my right leg below the knee caused by an

open tib/fib. I have since had it removed because it was causing more

problems than it was worth.

I work at a nuclear power plant and I could not get through the metal detectors.

I had to have a full search every day.

I wish every one a pain free day
