hahhahahahahahahaha, cindy! and my story specifically says basketball... as

in singular, not plural (can you even BEGIN to imagine TWO basketballs?)

" hung like a h*rse " is right!

in jim's case, for most of the time that he was in his hospital bed, the

nurse took a hand towel, rolled it up, and instructed jim to place it

between his legs snugly up against the problem. it did marginally keep the

fluid compressed within, however it wasn't any kind of permanent solution to

the problem. only time -- and diuretics -- took care of that. when he was

discharged from the hospital, wearing underwear seemed to take care of

things getting out of control.

and of course, jim and i just laugh about it now!

to the newbies in the group -- this should be proof positive that we can

talk about anything here!

RE: all this talk of post-tx " swelling "

OH MY GOODNESS Maureen!!! That was all a piece of

information that caught me off guard and totally

surprised me. Never in my wildest thoughts did I think

the swelling went THERE! Glad I am not male!!

I now have a greater appreciation/compassion for those

suffering from ascites...not to mention a mental

picture that I can't shake off. That gives new

meaning to 'hung like a h*rse.' :))))
