We've missed you and wondered how you were doing. I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers that they find out what is causing the headaches quickly and that it is easily treatable. Check in with us when you feel up to it. We'll be waiting to hear what you find out from your tests, but we understand that you may be in too much pain to write often. Don't feel like you have to respond to everyone - even me! - but keep us updated as things progress. Take care of yourself, and think positive thoughts. Guest guest
Hi, I have just signed up to the group. I am from Australia and my mother has been diagnosed with PTSD and DID. But upon reading more info on BPD I realised that this fits with my mother. She was placed in an orphanage at a young age for 10 years - where the chidlren suffered mental and emotional abuse. I have been looking for a support group in Australia for ex-orphanage residents with no luck. It was very difficult growing up with a mother with BPD and I am sure my self-esteem has suffered along the way. I still live with my mother and it has been very difficult over the last few months especially. I don't know how I have lasting here this long, and I am starting to resent her. I hope you don't mind me putting it out there. I am just happy to find a support group that may offer some support and coping strategies? Regards bt
Guest guest
Hi, I'm from Australia too (Melbourne). My mother is BPD but sees a therapist for PTSD. Living with your mother is a difficult situation to be in, but if you don't have a choice at the moment you can still have your own life to an extent as long as you don't let your mother step over your boundaries. I think resentment is a completely normal (healthy, even) reaction to the unfair position we are put in as children of BP mothers. > > Hi, > > I have just signed up to the group.
