Guest guest
Rosemarie, My son had a BBQ at his reception. I am vegetarian so that did not bother me with the meat. BUT, I ate potato salad, cole slaw, and several rolls that almost melted in one's mouth. I am not supposed to have things with vinegar in them due to yeast. BUT it did taste good. <g> This morning I have been researching some juice fasts. I am going to do a deep body cleansing and then I will finish the elimination diet to find all my food toxins. I will stick to my diet this time. I want to stop the hurting. maryruth
Guest guest
ruth I just did the Master Cleanse a couple of weeks ago and it got rid of the toxins, along with headaches, muscle aches and cravings. I did it for 10 days and lost 12 pounds! I will do it again soon just to do more, but I will admit I was getting weak toward the end from not having protein. Make sure you research before you do it. But it feels great to do the cleanse and I feel so much better! Good luck! Guest guest
HI Ruth: And so goes the ³battle² with us food intolerant people. Have you ever read about food intolerances? They are not the same as allergies. They come from Candida I think. The way it goes is possibly the antibiotics make our candida get out of balance, then we get leaky gut syndrome. Because of leaky gut tiny molecules particles of food go into our bloodstream. These foods cause inflammation then and we hurt all over. So then we can¹t eat bread, then we can¹t eat milk, then we can¹t eat sugar, then we can¹t eat ..........................whew. The list gets pretty long. So, if we could heal the leaky gut first, ge the candida back in balance, go on a cleanse, stay off the offending foods for a few months or weeks, I¹m not sure which amount of time it is, then we can re introduce those foods and see if they still make us hurt or bloat or get groggy. I get food hangovers if I eat bread. I feel drunk almost and then pass out. I haven¹t really eaten much bread since the 80¹s. Anyhow, you can research all this on google. Oh yes, one more thing I read. When you have a food intolerance? That food will make you retain a lot of water. When you retain water you look fat. But you don¹t eat many calories you tell yourself, how can I be fat and have this big belly? It isn¹t the calories according to this one web site, its the offending food that you are intolerant of. You can retain up to 30 pounds of water they said. And it looks like fat because its under neath our natural fat layer. It pushes the natural fat layer we have out from the body and we look fat. So, if we can heal our leaky gut, our bloating that results from it, then cleanse our system and eat healthy. Try re introducing those foods and see if you gain 5 pounds overnight. I can. I gained 3.5 pounds one night. Anyho,w good luck on your cleanse. Let us know how it goes. I¹m always interested to see how they work for other too. I haven¹t done one in years and years. rosemarie > > > > > > Rosemarie, > > My son had a BBQ at his reception. I am vegetarian so that did not bother me > with the meat. Guest guest
I researched online about juice cleansing this morning and last night. I found a website that had a number of recipes for a variety of cleansings. I am going to do a master cleanse first for three days to see how I do. Then I may do a 10 day one. I have gastroparesis so I retain a lot of everything. I know I am retaining water as my fingers are bloated. I have bowel issues also due to gastroparesis. I have not been following diet suggestions for that at all. It limits more than anything else I have read about. Ugh. BUT, I am going to start eating right. We are getting rid of junk out of our house. I am tired of the pain. I really appreciate you all here on this list. I like knowing I can come here and dump or ask questions or whatever. No one criticizes me or tells me 'shame on you' for not following what you know is right. thanks, maryruth

Guest guest
Hi maryruth Yes I agree. What is the sense is anyone saying shame on you when it comes to food? And health? And our sincere desire to be better. We all do our very best. As we improve we improve. It doesn¹t mean there is anything wrong with us before we improve? Right? By the way. What is Gastroparesis? rosemarie > > > > > > I researched online about juice cleansing this morning and last night. I > found a website that had a number of recipes for a variety of cleansings. Guest guest
Gastroparesis is when your stomach does not empty in a timely manner. Apparently people with fibro have it often. There is a diet you can follow to help it, but I have not done so. Right now, I take a medication. I am supposed to take it regularly but only in morning and night. I am supposed to take it 4 times a day. I can tell when I eat and not take it due to stomach bloating. I am hoping the juicing will take care of the issue. Especially when I eat the way I am supposed to afterwards. maryruth
