Guest guest
I have the book Nourishing traditions.I bought it a few years ago.I had heard about it an an autism group I belong to.Though,I never read the whole thing, and my memory is not great.I do remember it talking about how grains were processed and how the whole chicken was used to make soup stock.I have it around here someplace. So dang frustrated with the schools, and total idiots I have to deal with.As far as doing diets with my kids and lack of proper nutrition and learning disabilities.Lack of proper teaching methods for dyslexia.I wonder,if doning GAPs and proper supplements would make my daughter not dyslexic.Dealing with the system i despise. My friend who was a teacher, and, she is part of the brain washed system, and we had a bit of a fight today.Basically, she doesn`t think I am capable of homeschooling my daughter.I should get in into another school.Yet,the deadline for school of choice was april 13th,so unkess somebody pulls some strings to get her into anotherschool,I am stuck in the same school, and ain`t no way she is going back there. Some people with a college degree, think people that have none, don`t know anything.Come out with a degree and you can`t teach a big portion of your students, becasue they have learning disabilitites, due to crap food, vaccines, you never were taught how to teach kids with dyslexia. One thing is for sure,I can`t do any worse than what the school has done.At least,i won`t say she is performing where she needs to be when i know darn well it is a lie.If I purchase a system designed to teach dyslexic kids, work on her diet,I think,I have a much better chance of teaching her, than these idiots with there college degree.Brainwashed by the system. Now,I have probably offended some people with those statements.I`m sorry, but, they want me to jumop through hoops to get a diagnoses, which likely the school won`t axcept anyway. All she can get is services for ADHD,They will give more time to take tests and read things to her, instead of using a system that will teach dyslexic kids to read them self.Screwd up,failing system. No child left behind.BSLets not forget the flourescent lights that also make it dang near impossible to learn, and they know it.This is how they keep people dumbed down and at the bottom of the heap. > > Tina > Â > The GAPs diet is much like Bees. Guest guest
Hi Tina, I'm a teacher. I'm not offended by what you wrote. I understand your anger and frustration at dealing with the school and the system. I'm sorry your daughter isn't getting the help she needs. As a teacher, I'm not brainwashed by the system. However, I must abide by the system in order to keep my job. I have a boy in my class this year who " might " by dyslexic, but the system refuses to even test him. I want him tested. The principal and assistant principal and the reading specialist want him tested. But the school district policy is not to test him in this particular case. It's just as frustrating for me as it is for the parent. But there's nothing I can do other than try to meet his needs the best I can. I think parents can do a great job of homeschooling. When you're there working one on one with your child, you can often get more accomplished than a teacher with a college degree who is teaching a whole classroom of kids. Hope you can figure out what is most helpful for your daughter. > > > > Tina > > Â > > The GAPs diet is much like Bees. Guest guest
,Thankyou for your honesty, and I think,I do believe, that many teacher`s hands are tied.It is the system. The government in our educational system, that is the problem. They need to get out of education.Look at the college mess. All these student loans. No jobs.People are going to end up going to jail over not being able to pay off their debts dur to not being able to get a job.I have already one child on the ASD spectrum and he will require life long care.Had I know back when he was born what i know now, maybe things would be different.I`m just angry and frustrated, and when i try and get any help,I just can`t seem to get anywhere.I swear, they keep telling me she is performing where she needs to be,yet,I don`t see that. They wanted her to repeat kindergarden.I said no,becasue I thought it would delay her getting any help.I think they are mad, becasue I went over their heads to request testing when they said it wasn`t necessaary.A friend of mine who is a teacher is the one who told me to request an OT eval. They said she didn`t need it.My son is low functioning autism.my husband is likely dyslexic. She meltsdown at 2 letter words,Words that start with w or th.Can`t tell a b from a d.They don`t give her enough time to do math tests.Sight words she should have known in kindergarden, she has to sound out.I took her outside the district to get some testing, but, they don`t honour it.I think, they are mad, because I went over their head. There are other markers, like the full fisted grip when younger. She has some speech problem. Not as bad now, with very high doses of essential fatty acids. She would drop sounds from words.Mostly now it is the th sound, and she meltdown when she comes to a word that begins with th.Drops the s from her brother `s name.Never could pronounce her middle name marie. She is very forgetfull. If she knows something now, will forget in a couple days.No consistancy.Had trouble learning her colors, shapes.Mainly she would forget.High doses of EFAS helped with that. Then,it was learning letters and numbers. She still can`t recognise many numbers.Sorry,so long winded.Thankyou again for your reply. > > > > > > Tina > > > Â > > > The GAPs diet is much like Bees.
