As far as herbs go, the herb of choice for hepatitis is

Milk Thistle, you may want to read up on it...active

in it, Salymarin(sp?) does great things for the liver.

Diet adjustments, etc. important too.

I have heard that flushing can help with diabeties, allergies, back

pains, hepatitis, cancer, AIDS, and a lot of different things. I

think that cleaning your liver out of all kinds of waste toxins can

only be a good thing for your entire body. The liver is the largest

organ in your body (besides your skin) and is used to clean the

blood. So, I would say that it would help you to eliminate any toxins

that may be still hanging around from when you were young. Cleasing

will help your liver work better in cleaning your body.

Be healthy.

Jeri;

I can certainly appreciate the fear factor that knowing someone has Hepatis

C can bring upon an individual. I have had it since I was seventeen and

really didn't give it a lot of thought as serum hepatitis until I got a

report that my blood showed not only it but Hepatitis A at the same time. I

had this report after going to the hospital and doing a followup for the

gallbladder/liver attack that I had suffered on the 23rd of October in 1999.

Since then I've been taking steps to try to insure that my health doesn't

get too much worst too fast.

I've been able to come to a knowledge about the use of such things as a

proper diet, drinking lots of quality water, supplementing with essentaila

fatty acids along with doing enemas or colonics along with the use of

medical grade ozone, to deal with this particular problem. The most

important is of course diet as it is the means to keeping the liver working

without too much stress to do so. Diet has helped me to be able to work much

longer days than I'd been able to do in the past and as of now I'm pretty

much able to work for up to 12 hours without too much loss in energy. I must

admit I'm not really too ready to go dancing at the end of a day but at

least I'm not dead tired either.

I would simply suggest that your son in law start thinking about what he has

as a problem and then make some serious but educated decisions as to how to

deal with this dis-ease. It doesn't mean he can't be active again, it just

means he'll have to think about what things he eats to be able to enjoy

being active. It is a tricky disease as it doesn't necessarily mean you'll

be tired all the time, it just means that when the liver gets burdened with

processing fats and toxins that it tends to make a person have to relax or

they just plain feel bad, not sick, just not good or up to the level that

one would normally like to feel.
