This is the third winter that I have complained about fatigue - so bad I cannot

wake up in the AM and I simply sleep from FM/fatigue & exhaustion so bad that I

do not wake up at all during Jan/Feb. Apart from my two months of complete

hibernation, I am dragging with exhaustion all the time. The doctors do not know

why, nor do they seem to be terribly interested in figuring it out. Any

complaint I have is generally met with either " it must be your medications that

are causing it. " Or, they quickly decide that 2) it's just too hard to figure

out b/c my health issues are " too complicated. " Neither solves anything at all

and it has become incredibly frustrating.

An MRI of my cervical spine recently revealed an " enlarged thyroid with multiple

nodules. " The concern was to rule out cancer, beyond that, no interest

whatsoever. The hairbrush fills each time I brush my hair and I seem to have all

the symptoms for Hashimoto's or low thyroid. The doctors want to simply watch

it.

Last week, my persistent sore throat seemed to progress into an upper

respiratory infection that I finally persuaded the primary doctor to give me

antibiotics for it. (3 tab pak of Zithromyacin). Wow!! By day 3 it was seriously

knocking the infection right out of me. The next day I noticed that my energy

level was substantially better. A week ago I was too miserable to even crawl out

of bed to go in to see the doctor to get the antibiotics. Today, I seriously

cannot recall the last time I felt this good!!! Maybe two years ago??

I have noticed that my psoriatic arthritis often gets better when I get

antibiotics. Has anyone else noticed it with FM? I have been questioning if

there are bloodwork/labs I should have done for all the fatigue? Could I be low

in something? Are there any particular tests I should be asking my doctor to

order?

Any and all suggestions welcome,

Cheryl
