Hi Lovell,

Are you having to take anything for the Gerd? Recently read that with taking

acid blockers, you will not be able to absorb b vitamins,as they need acid to be

absorbed. I used to take the fresh lemon juice in water with meals, and my

sister(who has had ulcers) takes the organic apple cider vinegar. Even a healthy

person is only about to absorb a small amount of the Bs in a supplement. google

b 12, or b deficiency.

endoscope.  Since reading about H.Pylori and Fibromyalgia connection, I

contacted the doctor and was told that they did not check for h.pylori.  I

would think that that would be standard practice when doing an endoscope on a

person that has ulcers.  Anyway, I have made an appointment with a new doctor

and will be seeing him next week.  Hopefully he will check for h.pylori.

Hi Lovell

Are you saying that Apple Cider Vinegar has blood thinning properties? I am

interested I am on a blood thinner and take Pradaxa which is a new Blood thinner

in the USA and I also have GERD. My chiropractor many years ago told me taking

the prescribed meds will cause poor absorb issues and it was safe to take if

your GERD was bad for two weeks and then to eat an apple a day and to

take Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar. For some reason I could never find it and so

I

would drink apple juice. Since 2010 I have been taking Braggs Apple Vinegar

and

feel that it has helped my GERD, overall digestive issues and my fibromyalgia.

I had a stroke at the end of March and was put on Coumadin but could not

tolerate it and a doctor friend told me about Pradaxa which does not have Warfin

which is rat poison in it and I dont have any issues with Pradaxa, also you dont

have to have your blood tested. But since I had the stroke I have not been

remembering to do the Apple Cider Vinegar all the time.

Thank you for posting

Ciao-

Ange

Yes, I am taking the generic for Prevacid.  I don't like doing this because it

can weaken your bones.  I am also on Coumadin which weakens the bones.  I am

hoping I can figure out a way to heal the ulcers and GERD so I can eliminate at

least one medication.  I take a B complex vitamin.  I try to use lemon in

water.

Do you think this will help with the GERD and ulcers.  I am leary of taking

much apple cider vinegar because of blood thinning properties but would be

willing to take a small amount if it will help.

Hi Joanne,

I am not sure exactly, but some acid reflux is really low stomach acid problems,

and the vinegar is an acid, and seems to help. I have never tried Hydrocloric

acid. I think the lemon water I took for year or so helped me, but have not been

doing it lately. I think my digestion is better now, I am really not sure I need

the vinegar now, as the diet itself will aid the digestion too. You have

commented on how so much is involved with the bacteria trying to help, so

without the diet, the body is limited in the healing. I wish my sister would go

more on the diet. She does not eat a lot of junk, but she still has migraines

occasionally, and chronic pain.

Hi, if you are in Bee's group, you can check the posts. some have been able to

get off those, but there was some stomach pain at first. I used to take those

for a while, but mine was more of a burning throat. looking back I think it was

because of toxins I was around at the time. I think the medications hurt my

absorption, as I ended up with more problems. I did quit them, but cannot

remember how long I was on them. the diet of Bee's will help, but it is not a

quick fix. I don't think we need a lot of acid. I do take my calcium and

magnesium as citrate, which adds a bit of citrus which helps. Bee's web site may

still have the lemon drink info. We cannot handle too much lemons. I think they

were still causing cravings for me, and I got along without them. We can try to

do a lot to help our symptoms, and I have done that, but there will be a time

when we no longer have the symptoms, and will not need a particular herb, or

treatment(even natural) ones.
