I will be working with a trainer for servie dogs but will be doing the work

myself. I'm extremely dog savvy though and have gone thru many training

types with several dogs.

If you want to do your own basice and service dogs training there's a series

of books my trainer loaned me, they are callled Teamowrk and Teamwork II by

Nordensson. He trained his own service dogs from a wheelchair

without much help. Pretty good overview of the process.

With a puppy the first few months are just about basics and socializing but

here is where you set the dog up to think right about their job and

interactions with you.

There's also a service dog e-list called assistance dogs.
