Guest guest
Helllo every one I am in SW Michigan and I am looking for a group or other person in area to talk or get to gether . I have RSD of the right leg (it has not spread) from an open tib/fib in april of 2000. I am now on 250 mcg/hr fenanyl patch every 3 days and morphine sulphate 30 mg as needed, not to exceed 10 pills per day or 2 every 4. I have had many nerve blocks, a spinal stimulator and the nerve actualy cut. I am still in the 5 to 7 pain range most of the time. I sleep when I can but never more that 2 hours at a time. My doctor just keeps increasing the meds. I have tried almost every thing in the book so far. I am now on 200 mg Zoloft a day. And now seeing a shrink starting 2 January 2009. I have been married for 25 years as of the 17th of this month. We have never said a harsh word towards each other. We always end the day with an I Love you. We are raising our 7 year old grandaughter, she has lived with us since she was 2 months old. She was real mess when we got her. She had not sean a doctor since she was born. It took almost 2 months to get her better. Her mother (our daughter) ended up in jail for 3 to 5. She decided to do it the hard way and did all 5. We never took our grandaughter to see her in prison, we wanted to keep that place as the worst place on earth. And not a place to play game and visit her mother. I wish every one a very Marry Christmas and a pain free day Bill
Guest guest
Bill, amazing story, and very happy holidays to you also. My sister is in South Dakota, and has battled RSD for about 10 years in one leg. She is also a kidney transplant recipient, and her son is in jail. She won't reach out yet to anyone else....although I did send her a computer, which we are trying to educate her on using over the phone so she can reach out a little. She is without family and all alone except for a two bedroom apt and her kitty. She does get excellent care, and even a weekly cleaning lady. Trips to shopping for $1.00 and all kind of things Oklahoma won't offer. So she must remain there. I hope you are blessed for all the care you are doing for your granddaughter. I had custody of one grandson for 4 months, years ago, before I got my FM dianosis...and it wasn't easy or pretty. He was pretty messed up also, just from the anxiety and constant chaos that he had lived in.
