Hey ,

We are practically neighbors.  I am about 15 to 20 minutes east of Charlotte,

NC.   We had a lot of wind today off of the hurricane.  I feel for the people

who are in the path of this storm.  My brother works for Duke Power and he is

being called out.  He doesn't know where yet but, he does know it will be for 2

weeks.

I was on the prednisone for about a week and it was eye drops.  I think I

failed to mention that.  I do believe the supplements helped in this quick

healing time.  I am really worried about the brain fog though.  I thought I

was doing pretty well and then something changed.  I don't remember much of

anything.  Things that I thought happened a month or more ago where actually

last week.  Things that I thought happened yesterday was three months ago.  I

don't remember how I had been doing the diet to well.   I have cut most

caffeine out and sweets.  The sugar cravings don't come anymore.  Breads and

pastas are still with me.  They make cheap meals.  I do have the right kind of

meats here and there.  There will be more changes, hopefully soon, to get

myself more on track with the diet.  I have to go re-read it again.  I can't

print this off, so I have to do this at least once a month. lol

You mentioned the healing reactions.  that will be a great topic for our

boards.  I am really, really dreading that day.  The way some of these people

get so sick is awful.  I stopped doing the dry brushing.  See, I still smoke

and I thought about dry brushing and doing the caffeine detox to get this crud

behind me quickly.  But, then I start thinking and I don't want to make myself

sick, when I am feeling pretty good.  I think if I get a bad sinus infection

because I am getting all these toxins out, dang I am going to the doctor.  I

suffer enough as it is.  lol    Nah, I wouldn't because I would know I'm

detoxing and would wait it out.  More meds is defeating the purpose.   Just

maybe, me trying to keep all this straight, is scrambling my brain cells.  i

even have to flag my emails so I know which ones to re-read for healing fibro.

My inbox has thousands in it.  lol

Thank you for replying .  i hope you have a peaceful night.

Carol B.

Hi Carol,

Sorry to hear you were so sick, but even being partially on the diet, and with

the supplements, I am sure your recovery was more rapid. How long were you on

the predisone? I was on it for a few days, and it did not help my pain, so I

tapered off as the doctor told me, and ended up with hallucinations( a rare but

does happen side effect.) I was put in the hospital, It took me a few days to

come out of it, although they kept me for 10 days.

My brain fog is a bit noticeable but not too bad. I would like to improve my

typing though, as it is affected too. Your brain fog may take longer to improve.

What part of the diet is still a problem for you. I don't try for organic foods,

and my food bill is less now than before I was on the diet. I don't buy the more

expensive meats, and try to get on sale. I have healing reactions even when

sticking close to the diet. I had some off foods last weekend though, and did

hurt more for a couple of days.

The hurricane did not affect us in central SC too much except for a few more

clouds and wind. There was a beautiful sunset last night. I went out on my

balcony and took lots of pictures.

Best wishes,

C

sicky feeling that had lingered on.   I have to tell this though.

get as big as a quarter and didn't spread the way the doctor said it would, down

the front of my face.  Since it was on the right side of my head, the right

side of my face did swell until my eye closed.  The eye doctor gave me

predisone and within two days it was going down.   Sometimes I think I may

have been so sick that I really don't remember much, then again, because of the

supplements, I was able to cure very quickly.

> I still am not able to do the diet like it should be done.  At this time I

still have to eat what I can afford.  I have made some changes but it is just a

little.  Hopefully this will change soon.

> I don't have much to complain about except I still have great brain fog.  I

forget things quickly and most times I can't even mustard up a memory.  lol

Most of you know I had cancer seven years ago and had a total abdominal

hysterectomy.  I wasn't on hormones long, I was too afraid of them.   I

really wanted so badly to try the bio-identical hormones but, they aren't

recommended by Bee either.  And then fibro causes brain fog too, so there is a

double whammy.  Actually I believe there are more whammy's than those two.  I

didn't realize it until Joanne Ford  helped me see some of these insights.

> But what do y'all do to help with this?  I am getting quite concerned about

this.
