brain fog

Hi All!!!!

Well, it seems that the shingles has finally left for good.   I had that ole

sicky feeling that had lingered on.   I have to tell this though.

The day that the sore appeared until it went away was maybe 8 days.  It did get

as big as a quarter and didn't spread the way the doctor said it would, down the

front of my face.  Since it was on the right side of my head, the right side of

my face did swell until my eye closed.  The eye doctor gave me predisone and

within two days it was going down.   Sometimes I think I may have been so sick

that I really don't remember much, then again, because of the supplements, I was

able to cure very quickly.

I still am not able to do the diet like it should be done.  At this time I still

have to eat what I can afford.  I have made some changes but it is just a

little.  Hopefully this will change soon.

I don't have much to complain about except I still have great brain fog.  I

forget things quickly and most times I can't even mustard up a memory.  lol

Most of you know I had cancer seven years ago and had a total abdominal

hysterectomy.  I wasn't on hormones long, I was too afraid of them.   I really

wanted so badly to try the bio-identical hormones but, they aren't recommended

by Bee either.  And then fibro causes brain fog too, so there is a double

whammy.  Actually I believe there are more whammy's than those two.  I didn't

realize it until Joanne Ford  helped me see some of these insights.

But what do y'all do to help with this?  I am getting quite concerned about

this.

Love you all!!!

Carol B.

Hi Carol,

Sorry to hear you were so sick, but even being partially on the diet, and with

the supplements, I am sure your recovery was more rapid. How long were you on

the predisone? I was on it for a few days, and it did not help my pain, so I

tapered off as the doctor told me, and ended up with hallucinations( a rare but

does happen side effect.) I was put in the hospital, It took me a few days to

come out of it, although they kept me for 10 days.

My brain fog is a bit noticeable but not too bad. I would like to improve my

typing though, as it is affected too. Your brain fog may take longer to improve.

What part of the diet is still a problem for you. I don't try for organic foods,

and my food bill is less now than before I was on the diet. I don't buy the more

expensive meats, and try to get on sale. I have healing reactions even when

sticking close to the diet. I had some off foods last weekend though, and did

hurt more for a couple of days.

The hurricane did not affect us in central SC too much except for a few more

clouds and wind. There was a beautiful sunset last night. I went out on my

balcony and took lots of pictures.

Best wishes,

C

Hi Carol,

were you affected when Hurricane Hugo came through there? I was in Camden, and

it was bad there then.

I should mention, my healing reactions were not, and still not that bad. They

can be the same as any reactions you get from toxic foods. Once you cut down on

those foods, and then cut them out, you get less and less reactions generally.

But it may take months or longer for the body to get rid of toxins, and

sometimes the better nutrition, the more reactions, as you body is more

efficient in getting rid of them. As long as you still have the bad foods, your

body will still be trying to get rid of them, and you will not be healing. I had

reactions way before Bee's diet. I used to get diarrhea some times and a red

face, and I found out it was wheat causing it, so giving up wheat helped, and

knew sugar made me hurt worse, and cutting down helped. Even before Bee's diet,

I got a rash around my waist and upper leg, and it faded some, but took a couple

of years before it was not as noticeable. After starting Bee's Diet, it got

easier to give up sugar and wheat, and then all grains. I was not having enough

fat before, and still too much starch. My reactions were coughing up stuff, and

diarrhea. My diarrhea was not all day, nor every day though, and the coughing up

did not last but a few weeks. If I get off the diet for a meal or two, I have

sometimes a bit more diarrhea, or a stuffy nose. Even a healthy person will get

a reaction that way if they eat such foods. So I do not get off of it too much

at all. Even when I stick close to it, I sometimes still get Diarrhea, or

itching some around my waist, or a stuffy then runny nose. I am 60 now, and know

It will be years before my body can get rid of all those foods, and toxins I

took in. I did have some lower back pain some months ago, and now think it was

retracing menstrual cramps, as the timing was appropriate to then. your healing

still will be up and down, and gradual, but try to get to the point where you

have no grains or sugar, or high starch veggies, and get 75 to 80 % fat

calories. The lower the starch, higher the fat, you will crave the cigarettes

less and less. did I send you a link before on quitting smoking? I lost my mom

and a sister to cancer, and they both smoked, but I, and my other sister never

did . do you take the vit C 4 times a day. It helps with cravings. Have you

tried per the protocol taking the C every hour. it is on Bee's site. It is

better that your body gets rid of those toxins. So do not fear healing

reactions, and if they get too bad, Bee mentions the liquid diet, and enemas. I

have not had to go that route. the diet can be simple if you just think some

protein, coconut oil,and perhaps some other fat, and some really low carb

veggies or no veggies at all, at each meal. I just put some fatty meat in a

ceramic dish with lid, add some fat, and organic spices, cook at 300 until

mostly done, then throw in some low carb veggies in the dish, and finish

cooking. I take the coconut oil by the tablespoon after eating. for breakfast, I

have the egg drink-2 eggs, a tbs coconut oil, and 2 tbs butter. I bought me some

grade B vanilla beans and add one. Really adds to the taste. my grocery bill is

much less than when I buying yogurt, fruit and whole grains. I was buying

supplements, but not the ones I take now, so may be spending less now. Hope this

helps some.
