And I am on Lyrica.   I was on 450mgs a day.  I asked my doctor about

lowering my mgs and he wouldn't.  He said that I would be in severe pain and

that it would take a long time to get it under control.  (this was only a month

or two ago).   Anyway, I don't need him to lower my mgs.  I did it anyways.

I lowered it to 100 mgs.  I still feel pretty good.

This is a lot of info and I always save this valuable information.

Love ya

Carol

I am not sure if i have already showed you this but this guy more or less seems

to have it pretty right on fibro (except for all the drugs he offers that is

LOL)

He is claiming we have low dopamine seratonin and noradrenalin, but that we are

high in glutamte and substance P. there may be more than this going on but i

think in essence he is right

Doctors tend to prescribe Lyrica, antidepressants and all that stuff for these

things but from what i understand when we are in ketosis all these things

balance out

Its like this Lyrica is an anti seizure drug, and in some ways i am guessing it

mimics ketosis, because as you know ketosis is the natural cure for epilepsy

From what i understand about ketosis it creates GABa nad GABA is actually made

from glutamate. If this is the case then this explains why our high glutamate

probably becomes more normal when we are in ketosis

i have read that if a person has high glutamte that also have high substance p,

the two increase a decrease together. So if what i am saying is correct and the

GABA is reducuing the glutamate by using it up to make itself, then the

substance p is decreasing because there is now low glutamate

Then from what i have read further GABA works as a key neuron, an organiser if

you like, it then balances out the neurons we are short of like the dopmaine

seratonin and noradrenaline and possile others we do not know about

To do the diet you do not really need to understand all this but i am posting it

so that you might have some idea why when folk who have fibro do Bees diet they

can get off all their meds even Lyrica

Do not worry if this is not sinking in, I will keep posting this stuff and I

usually end up repeating myself, if you just do a little hear and there

eventually this will all make more sense to you and when you see it working in

your own life then all this will make even more sense

I have an inversion table that has helped me immensely with my neck and back.

As I get older I noticed that I can't be turned upside down as often.  But then

again, I don't get on it like I use to.  Just occasionally.   Oh, and I did

get an inch back to my height.

Joanne,

I think chiropractors are wonderful. I go occasionally but not as often as I

should.  At one time I was doing therapy for my neck because it didn't have a

curvature to it. I know my neck and shoulders do feel better if I will take the

time to lay down on the bed and let from about my shoulder blades up hang off

the bed with my hands touching the floor.  I usually do this about 2 or 3

minutes, sit up and do another 2 or 3 minutes.  If you have neck and shoulder

problems you might want to try this.If I start having headaches or backaches I

go to the chiropractor and he fixes me right up.

Lovell

I am looking into this. i have no idea how I might afford it, but i do think

very much that posture plays a big part in our illness

Mr Batten claims that when our spine is not correctly aligned signals to our gut

become incorrect and also blood flow to the brain can be affected

I do not have time right now to type all i know regarding this, but until i can

afford to see a chiropractor i am going to put more time in on correcting my

posture and doing the shower thing I mentioned the other day

Hope this is helpful
