Since I recently had one and returned it, I wanted to answer. You

cannot wear it over eight hours I was told, and there is some

limitations on what you have.

The newer units have larger pads than the old ones. I was also told

that you adjust the power but you do not go over a certain

amount.

I would look up the company on line that made your unit and look at the

instructions as what someone else is using there's for

might be different.

Everything I was told from the company, the representative, and my

physical therapist was DO NOT sleep with them on as you

cannot adjust it and do not know what is happening.

The new unit I got was programable for each area of the body and you

just set it on the picture. The new unit was so much

nicer than my old one, maybe you could exchange it for new one.

I hope you continue to have good relief with it and hope you get the

instructions to it. Bennie

Bennie and ,

I sleep with the TENS on, but it has a timer and will shut off after

60 minutes no matter what. I think of it as using a heater that shuts

off once it reaches a certain temp -- you're only really in danger

when you can't regulate it. Since it shuts off on its own, it's not

like it could go all night and cause additional pain.

Then again, if I find relief from something, even if it's not ideal,

I'm not going to turn away from using it. ;)
