Guest guest
Thanks for this link. The part about cooked food was interesting. I suppose the food is more " demanding " for the immune system when it's raw. You can download a PDF file (the first in the list) about the healing crisis here: http://loaves-n-fishes.com/downloads.htm The article can also be found for online reading several places, like this one: http://www.awarenessherbs.com/healingcrisis.htm It seems to be a part of the marketing for a product called Experience, but this is really secondary. This Jimmy makes some specific claims about what intervals phases in the crisis occur. There's a whole book about the healing crisis written by Bruce Fife. You can read about it on amazon.com. If you search for his name, you can also check out his book about the health benefits of coconut (see also http://www.coconut-info.com/ ). I haven't read any of these titles myself. -- Helge >I was just looking over the website at www.herbs-hands-healing.co.uk and came >across this page that is a good description and explanation of a healing >crisis and offers some suggestions on how to deal with them. This, I think, is why cooked food can be used to slow down a cleansing if a healing crisis gets to be too much to tolerate. I believe potatoes also serve this purpose. But of course they would be cooked, so that makes sense, but I think it's the starch in them that does the trick. Just don't ask me for a link to a source to verify this. It's just going from memory of things I think I've read! in health, rachel~
Guest guest
, My guess was just a wild one, and something along what you're saying may well be the real reason. It can't be right in the details, though: cooking increases the availability of many nutrients. Like, in order to make use of the anti-oxidant bioflavonoids (sp?) in a broccoli, the enzymes need to be " killed " by boiling, as the enzymes otherwise would have killed the bioflavosomethings. But now I suppose I'm starting another war of religions and promise not to post more about this. -- Helge >In a message dated 2/24/02 8:31:34 AM Eastern Standard Time, >helge.gundersen@... writes: > >> Thanks for this link.
