I ended up spending the last week of my pregnancy in the hospital on a morphine drip. Janeene, I know with pregnancy the SI joint sometimes separates causing back pain. Did they ever check that out? The reason I said that is they did not find my SI joint problem to really late and it was causing related back pain. I hope you feel better each day, I lost eight units of blood when I had my son with placenta acreta, the placenta does not separate and they manually rip it out, which they did not tell me and just did that, talk about pain. When they did that it caused an artery to be torn and I bleed out. So I had an unanticipated surgery and they left some of my placenta in there and I bleed out six weeks after my son's birth. Thank Goodness I did not have sepsis. it was about this time of year and my Doctor kept telling me to stay close to home he didn't know why my uterus was not going down and I had back pain. I got my husband to buy a new mattress and it was because of my medical condition and my husband teases me that I use that to get new mattresses. I got him to buy a hot tub and select comfort mattress but he is glad we did and it helps out and I do not have to go to repeated appointments. I know others have there comfort items they use. I hope you get better. Bennie
Guest guest
Bennie, Yes about my SI joint. I have had two spinal fusions, L3-S2 now, started with L4-S1. The only thing this fusion has done was eliminated most of my sciatica, not much help at all with the back pain. In fact, it has made it worse. You sure went through a lot with your pregnancy, that must have been terrifying! I am glad you made it through! Your suggestion about a new mattress is one that I wish we could afford. I know that would make a huge difference but it just isn't in the cards right now. I don't sleep in the bed often because of it. Most of the time I am in the rocker recliner, it gives me the best sleep and I don't wake up as often or as sore. Unfortunately it is starting to break down so I don't know how much longer I will have it. I have pretty much rocked it off its rocker, cushions are not much of cushion any more and I have to tighten the screw for the back rest continuously. I don't think any chair is made for as much use as I give them! :- 0 Thank you for your care! Janeene Bennie wrote: I know with pregnancy the SI joint sometimes separates causing back pain.
