Guest guest
Hi - I drop in here from time to time, and want to mention that my fibromyalgia of 25 years turned out to be a bacterial infection called Lyme disease that I acquired from a known tick bite. The bacteria get into the brain within 12 hours of exposure and inflame the brain and spinal cord. They can also corkscrew into tissues and inflame us anywhere that way too - it's a very comprehensive illness, causing systemwide symptoms. Ticks are so small, so many people never see the tick that infected them. Also bugs can carry the spirochetal bacteria, and also we can pass it through tissues and fluids, including congenitally. It can be a very hidden illness. There isn't even a gold standard test for it; the link www.canlyme.com/seronegreasons.html lists 27 reasons why people may not test positive for it even though they have it. That's why Lyme-treating doctors treat clinically, by history and symptoms. I did test positive, through the IGeneX lab, went on antibiotics (150mg clindamycin every 6 hours for the first month, then 1-2x/day after that) and all the fibro pain of 25 years went to zero in a week's time! I also successfully take anti-inflammatory supplements like mangosteen juice, noni juice and grapeseed extract capsules. My latest success is doing far infrared sauna detoxing - that is helping to lower my chemical sensitivity to materials and smells. I like to speak up about my experience, because if this is what's going on for others, we can find antibiotics, herbs, supplements, oxygen treatments, etc that kill/deter the illness, detox and fortify. We're all different and respond differently to treatments. The trick is to find the ones that are right for us. In general, I like what Joanne and others discuss here about fortification. It's the kind of things Lyme patients are doing. More info can be found at www.lymedisease.org, www.lymenet.org, the film " Under Our Skin " (now available through Netflix - many Lyme patients say they presented first with the fibromyalgia syndrome), www.treatthebite.org, google for Burrascano 2008 guidelines. Nicola I beleive I have a weakened immune system due to medical procedures in my past, toxicty in my environment, high levels of stress, and food intollerance. The following clip provides some insite into how autoimmune illnesses like fibro develop Dr Hyman also speaks about some of the solutions In the main i learn about healthy nutrition, safe alternative therapies and how to reistablish correct functioning of the bodies systems by supporting its systems through correct nutrion, detox, etc at the following site www.healingcandidabybee.com When I get more time I will post links to a few other sites I use If any of this feels overwhelming do not worry. None of us here were able to sort ourselves out in a few days. Rather it took weeks or months, and although doing extremely well with Bees program I am to this day still learning Hope to be online again later Love Joanne
