Guest guest
I should have bought a Gateway!! > >Kari Can I say a little brag about my new computer...which I love! I got a 700 mhz Dell, which I ordered from the states...it is beautiful!!!! Well, the 19 inch flat screen helps...I admit, I am spoiled by my DH who knows how much this internet world means to me. But anyway, Kari...if you do trade it in, you might consider Dell and at least go for the 700 (by now there must be 1000). I probably would do Gateway if I was in the states since they do that trade in thing every two years. Joya

Guest guest
Well, you might need a new computer then, anyway. You may be able to trade it in, using it for down payment. Depends on where you go. My friend just got a nice HP at Best Buy (or somewhere like that) and got a really good deal. I think she only spent about $600 after the MSN rebate (she was gonna do MSN anyway, like me), but I don't know if it would have the capacity to get into photography. That's something you'd have to discuss with the salesman. You would need alot more space, though. >>Well, just for perspective mine is a 166 mhz and it only has a 2.5 gig hard drive. Guest guest
Well I get fatal exception errors with the blue screen. I get internal errors from Internet Explorer. I am using Outlook Express and my whole screen goes black and the computer is done, I have to shut it off. Even shutting it off is a problem, I have to just hit the button sometimes as it all freezes up. Plus it freezes up in other programs. Oh and ICQ keeps shutting down and freezing my computer. Oh and I get the proverbial, Illegal operation notice quite often too. The guy who just wiped my computer clean is good too, one of our better techs at work. So I am frustrated. I think this computer was just a lemon so to speak. It never operated up to par, it always has/had crashes and freezing. Its a hewlitt packard and most people think that is a good machine but you couldn't pay me to buy another one. a wish you lived near and I'd try to fix > it. Not to say that I actually can, but I have managed to take care of all > the computers at work. Sometimes it just takes perserverance to figure out > what's wrong. Alot of perserverance. By crashing - what do you mean? It > keeps shutting down? Or what? We all say crashing, but it can mean so many > things. Have you added anything new? Did they check for conflicts? > > > > Please visit our homepage at http://members.xoom.com/AChallengers > You will find information, recipes, before and after pictures. > To contact the list owner please send mail to lindag@... > Visit our 2000 Train Tour Site - http://www.brunnet.net/k & l/web_site_train_tour/actraintour.htm > > >
