This is horrible that these things happened to others as the staff that

did my myelogram called me the next day, I knew to lay down for 24

hours and do nothing. They also told me if I had a headache to call

immediately so that I could come back in immediately and get a blood

patch. I believe having the good staff that follows up and getting

specific instructions and following them, made mine and others exams

successful.

I would make sure that these things happen before, during, and after

the exam. If you get a headache, go to the emergency room immediately.

I had demerol and versad before the procedure to prevent any pain

during the procedure.

it shouldn't be that bad a procedure as others stated. It is sad it

happens and it is important to communicate things. I was also given a

medrol pack (steroid pack) because I was concerned the procedure would

cause additional swelling. The assistant contacted my doctor and had

him call in the prescription and it prevented any other swelling or

problems from the procedure. I was very thankful that the assistant

mentioned it and I told them the problems I was having. Good Luck and

make sure the staff understands your position. Bennie
