Guest guest
Patti, How awful to have happened right before you turned 30. That is not an easy thing to do (turning 30). I turned 30 in October and still can't believe it. My surgery did not cause any swelling that I can remember. But I was so caught up in self-pity that I don't think I would have noticed if a plane hit my house. I never diagnosed myself, the thought of an ep never crossed my mind. I had heard of them, but never thought it could happen to me. While laying on the floor in my bathroom the thought that I might be having a miscarriage crossed my mind, but since there was no blood I was more convinced my appendix had ruptured. The triage nurse suggested it w/in minutes. That's what they thought right away, but I remained in denial praying it was my appendix. By the time my dh carried me down our stairs (30 minutes after the pain started), I was only 1/2 conscious. It just happened so fast and I am so lucky to still be here. I did not want to go to the hosp, but thankfully Enrico did not listen to me. If he had I would have bled to death. Enrico said the surgeon came out after my surgery and told him that he had saved my life. If he had waited any longer, I would have died from internal bleeding. For that I will always be grateful to him. My repayment would be to finally give him a child - hope hope. We joke about it now, if he wants something and I hesitate, he'll smile and say " Remember that time I saved you life. . . " Talk to you later. Tara clothing Dear Tara, I had to dig out my maternity clothes and underwear since even my sweat pants and long underwear would not fit! I literally had no pants that fit - finally I found my husband's sweat pants. My first surgery lasted pretty long and had a lot of bleeding - I was blown up like a balloon! I found out I was pregnant the night before my 30th birthday while my son had croup and strep. I looked at the positive hpt while in the bathroom with the shower going to ease my son's breathing. I was only a few weeks along but did have breast tenderness. Two nights later I ended up driving myself to the hospital with a good self diagnosis! Guest guest
Tara, I love the ending of your story, that's funny. That's something my dh would say! Take care! Guest guest
Patti, Your story sounds very similar to mine. I drove myself to the hospital too, dh was home with the kids. I had pretty much figured out it was an ep before I even left for the hospital. But being human tried to deny it right to the end. Still brings back sad feelings when I think about it. Take care! Guest guest
Angel, I'm sure he knows. I just kept saying " I'll be fine in a few minutes - it's just gas. " Thank God he knew better. I'm sure Mike knows what he did for you and that you will always be grateful, but i'm sure he'd love to hear it. Tara Re: clothing , I forgot to mention that while I was in the hosp mike bought me the ugliest granny robe I have ever seen. When I laughed I think I hurt his feelings. I guess he really liked it and now I feel bad. Angel You know he saved my life and I never thought about it that way. I was yelling at him the whole way to the hosp. crying and saying that I did not want to go. I really need to let him know how grateful I am? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ For the fastest and easiest way to backup your files and, access them from anywhere.
