Guest guest
Krista, Normally I don't e-mail from work, but this letter really bothered me and I needed to post. I can't believe any doctor would tell someone that their baby was not formed at 7.5 weeks. Through all my 6 pregnancies, although non being ep, I had ultrasounds as early as 6 weeks and the baby was definitely formed and the heart was beating. I can't imagine that with an ep it would be any different. I wish I could remember where I read that a woman actually carried close to term with an ep and had a live baby. Krista - You looked at Tucker and I'm sure you can tell this woman from experience that he was a normal, fully formed baby, just small. I have experienced many insensitive comments regarding the size of a baby. When I lost na at 23 weeks she weighed around 10-1/2 oz. She was small, but fully formed. A co-worker made a comment regarding the woman who had 8 babies, one of her's was only 10 oz. Well this co-worker commented that a 10 oz. baby certainly couldn't look like anything, basically it would only be a piece of meat. I was so angry I didn't respond to his comment because I knew I would definitely be using alot of language I shouldn't at work. I also wanted to show him a picture of na and prove to him what a baby weighing 10 oz. would look like. I think people who have no clue should keep their mouths shut. Krista, I can't wait to see what your reply to her was. I woman who lost 7 babies should certainly know that what the doctors told her was not true. Guest guest
, What irritated me, was that she was talking about " me " and Tucker. I felt like she wasn't just making a generalization. Does this make sense? I do understand that some people are just uneducated, but since she was talking about me...you know? Everything you say makes sense. : ) Did you ever find out what prompted her to make those statements in the first place? What was her point??? I still don't get it. Guest guest
, The best that we can figure is that she was " concerned " that my friend was unknowingly giving out the wrong information. LOL-I can just imagine how embarrassed she was after realizing that it was she, not me, dispensing incorrect information.
