Guest guest
I had very little " real " pain with either an HSG or my endometrial biopsy, and I have heard that most women think one or the other is extremely painful. Both felt like really intense cramps, (not the worst I have ever had - I have painful periods) although the cramping with the HSG lasted longer than the biopsy. Krista thinks I am just " dead " down there, but my hubby would beg to differ on that point *blush* hehe I want to point out that if you are able to see the monitor in your HSG that is GREAT but not to count on it. Don was with me for mine and neither of us could see the monitor the way the doctor wanted it positioned. We had to wait for the results from my doctor to know the outcome (my doctor was not the one that did the HSG). Hope this gives you some more perspective...you should also know that I took nothing for pain with either procedure. I had to wait more than two hours once I got to the hospital for the HSG, so the Advil I had taken were three hours past being taken and pretty much out of my system I think. I did not know the biopsy was going to be done, so I could not prepare in any way for that. Take care, J.
