Hi - good to read you're both looking at Lyme disease info. I recall when I was

told by a nurse across the country that that's what it sounded like I had, I

googled for a list of Lyme symptoms and saw that I matched most of them. That's

one general way to start checking. www.lymenet.org has archived info - just

click on the Search word at the top and type in any phrase you want to see what

folks have written about it. A good friend of mine just created the site

www.treatthebite.com for May Lyme Disease Awareness month - so much good info on

it there.

I'd say both of you have a typical possible development of Lyme symptoms. It can

be gradual, we can get symptoms anywhere in the body, we are usually medical

misfits - not following the usual pattern of health conditions.

You can get referrals to experienced Lyme-treating doctors at www.lymenet.org.

You sign up with a name, then make a post in Seeking A Doctor, and put your

country or state name in the heading and people will send you private messages

with medical referrals. We can't just go to any doctor - most of them are not

educated about this illness. One week of antibiotics is not enough to stop a

chronic infection from occurring.

Thrush could be candida, and if so, needs anticandidiasis treatment.

My advice would be to keep reading on the subject and see what might fit for

you. Sometimes Lyme patients say it's like connecting the dots - oh, that

symptom was Lyme, and that symptom was Lyme, etc, since at the time, we had no

idea what was causing anything we were going through. I remember one time I woke

up and my jaw was locked. Then I got a splint for TMJ. I later learned that that

was just one more experience of Lyme hitting joints and tissues. It's a sneaky

illness, since it can affect nerves and tissues anywhere at any time.

Also, for treatment, you can read the Burrascano guidelines - just google for

them. Dr Burrascano was one of the first doctors to see Lyme patients walking in

the door in the '70s. Go ahead and ask me more questions if you have them and

I'll try to answer. Take care - Robin
