Guest guest
In the middle of the interesting discussion about stones, let's just remember that the liver/gallbladder cleanse is not only about removing previously formed round-shaped objects that wouldn't otherwise have come out: it's also about fighting fatty livers and otherwise removing excess cholesterol and perhaps other substances. Some of what comes out is chaff, and is claimed to be as important to get out as the stones, and maybe even some of the stones are formed during the night of the cleanse (I'm not arguing for it). -- Helge
Guest guest
Hedge, You are absolutely right. Another thing is to remember that stones will continue to form and cleansing must become a life long thing. Some doctors think that once you hit the 'middle age' or whenever you start to have stone problems, that your gallbladder is 'diseased' and will always continue to produce more stones. This is why the general medical field does not just remove the stones out of the gb. They feel that the damaged walls of the gb will just continue to make more stones (no matter what your diet is) and you will just have the problem in a few months again anyway. I am really starting to believe that. People reporting that after doing 15-20 cleanses, they are still eliminating hundreds of stones. Even with a strict diet. This seems like a good reason for some people to just remove the gb and be done with it. Others, like this group, think that the problem of producing stones at the pain producing rate can be stopped or slowed down drastically. I think it depends largely on the individuals body and/or condition of gb wall linings, etc. For me personally, the jury is still out. I will try this first but I always have my doc ready to cut the thing out if I get tired of messing with the cleansing so often and the results aren't up to my personal satisfaction.
