Guest guest
I was on amitriptyline to sleep and also for nerve pain and had to stop it due to side effects also. In my case it caused my arms and legs to jerk. I know the doctor told me that it could cause depression. in PA
Guest guest
a couple years back they put me on it . Their reasoning was that depression cause pain ,and pain caused depression. I had to get off of that stuff in a hurry , weird dreams. and when awake I think it just caused more depression. My familiy doctor put me on alprazolam (xanax) 1mg. a half of a pill in the morning, and the other half when I went to bed. These are really low doses but they made a world of difference in me. Most of the time to tell the truth if some one has bad chronic pain there is some depression there also. ron patterson ronpat0471@... --- julie.bignell wrote: >Can amitriptyline cause depression in the non depressed? I just wanted to say that if you were taking amitriptyline (Elavil) and have stopped taking it, you should do it slowly. I hope I was clearer this time. Here information about amitriptyline from drugs.com: http://tinyurl.com/7yzydo Kaylene
