Hi all

 

This email below is from Yahoo. They want me to sort out a poll and I can do

soon. Zaza has told me she can do the moderating, and a couple of other folk

have said they will happily help out once she is set up. I am going to have to

find one or two names to put on the poll with Zaza, and a few have said I can,

but in the main they are not going to be able to put in the time that Zaza can.

 

Anyway, if there is anybody else that does want to go on the poll form I need to

know soon because there are so many folk waiting simply to have a moderator in

place so that they can get posting. Zaza has told me she would be able to start

straight away and if she is nominated she will encourage others to moderate with

her

 

I really want to push forward with this now, but feel I have to notify you all

of what is going on. Once I have sorted out the poll I assume you will all

recieve a copy pretty swiftly and lets hope Yahoo quickly sort this out

I understand that you have some concerns regarding the moderation of the

Yahoo! Group, " fibromyalgiacured. " Thank you very much for taking the

time to write in about this issue, I will be happy to offer some

direction.

We are unable to transfer ownership of Yahoo! Groups. However, in this

circumstances, we may promote an elected member to moderator so that a

group can be managed.

If you would like to select a new moderator Joanne, please use the

group's polls feature to create a poll. Then list the Yahoo! IDs or

email addresses (not proper names) of a few members who would like to be

a moderator. These will be the choices for the poll. It is recommended

that you also choose to " display voter identity. "

You will need to announce the poll to your group and ask the members to

vote on who they would like to be the moderator. Please allow the poll

to remain open for a period of at least one week. Once the poll has

closed, please email a reply back to us, and we will appoint the

" elected " moderator.

Please note that we will only be able to promote one moderator, so we

can not accept multiple elected moderators. However, the elected

moderator, once promoted, will have the option to add additional

moderators if they wish. 

If you are unable to locate another member who would like to be included

in the choices on the poll, you can put one moderator choice and then a

second choice with something similar to " Leave the group as it is " or

" Make no changes to moderators in this group. "
