Guest guest
Hi Joanne, and group, This was just in international news Sunday. Relationship between sugar and heart disease and diabetes. Interesting that this mentions vitamin C, and lack of it. The sugar uses it up. we need less as we low carb, but I still take Per the diet-4 a day, 1000 mg C. I have taken more if I had cravings or more pain than usual. Medical books say pain and swelling are evidence of lack of C. How many docs will tell you to take C if you have painful, swollen knees. http://gma.yahoo.com/sugar-sweetened-drinks-may-pose-heart-risks-women-190406519\ ..html C > > > Â > I did not know vitamin C helped with craving. I have just emailed this to my dad. Since the winter weather has set in over here he is struggling more. > > Love Joanne > > > ________________________________ > > To: fibromyalgiacured > Sent: Monday, 14 November 2011, 3:55 > Subject: Re: Lovell: Giving up soda > > > Â > Hi Lovell, > > I had trouble giving up the soda. At first on Bee's diet, I did the lemon water- > http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/lemonwater.php > > I did not add any sweeteners, not even green leaf stevia. I found out the drink was a substitute for soda, but I could still not lose the sugar cravings. I had an easier time when I gave up the lemon drink too. Here is some cravings help. > http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/help5.php > > usually just one vitamin C 1000 mg will help me, along with drinking a glass of water. you may need it every hour, as her article suggests, along with her other tips. I don't think I can handle the coconut water either, as it will just maintain those sugar cravings.I tried for 30 years to give up sugar completely, did a diet drink instead for years, but even just one of those a day started bothering me. It was not until I went very low carb, I could manage to go without sugar. Even some brown rice, and I want that sugar again. Best wishes on beating this. > C.
