Guest guest
Hi,.I have been on Bee's diet for 2 years, but I gradually lowered my carbs, and gradually increased my fats. I was already low gluten and fairly low sugar. You may have just started too quickly. Each of the steps can take weeks, or longer. I had some healing reactions, and still do, but they were not severe. I did not consider diarhhea severe, as I had to put up with it. I really needed cleaning out. I saw many benefits. You can reread on Bee's website, how to get started, and try again, but slower-may have to cut down on the coconut oil, and maybe increase some buckwheat, or vegetables. Are you in Bee's group? Best wishes, C > > Hi, > I've been struggling with symptoms for about a year and am looking for ideas. I know this is long, but I want to provide you with as much info as possible. I am a 32 year old male with great kids and a great wife. I make an excellent living and have good friends. However, the terrible pain every day sucks. > > Like most on this board, doctors have been no help and can't seem to find much despite running every test they can. The two exceptions are a positive test for Lyme last summer through iGenex, although I've had 4 other negative tests through other labs, and slightly low Vitamin D (27) which is now up to around 40 via pills. > > My primary symptoms are burning sensations in the back of my legs (can go from butt to foot, but is usually most pronounced and " reliable " in the hamstrings). What's odd is that the pain is triggered/made worse by sitting. Typically if I'm up and moving around or laying on my side then I get relief. My legs usually feel good first thing in the morning until I've been sitting at work for a while, and then I sit in agony the rest of the day, with brief reprieve while I go for walks. > > I do have some other symptoms that are notable. First, my digestion has not been normal since this started. Stools are usually loose and very pale. I have always been extremely reliable in that area prior to this starting. I also intermittently experience a fair amount of small muscle twitching (primarily in the legs), mild fatigue, difficulty thinking clearly/focusing/finding words, mild headaches/pressure on the top of my head, minor aches in my right hand (thumb) and feet, my knees are starting to pop very frequently, and a general feeling of sickness/malaise. > > I've tried a number of things, but primarily I've focused on trying to eat very healthy during this time. During a few month+ timespans I've eaten gluten free/dairy free, with lots of fruits and veggies and noticed little. I did oral abx (3 simultaneously!) for several months at the suggestion of my LLMD due to the iGenex test, but it didn't seem to make any difference. Although it's certainly possible I could have Lyme, I am very suspicious of that diagnosis, especially in light of my non-response to abx. Before this started I worked out a lot, but took a hiatus to let my body heal. At the suggestion of my traditional doctor, I began working out 5 days a week again. I feel good while I'm working out, but once I sit down again symptoms return. > > I'm currently doing Bee's Diet as suggested on this board for a week so far, only to feel worse and see my stools get worse, not better (lots of eggs, chicken thighs, vegetables, good coconut oil, butter, sea salt, some red meat, some goat cheese & milk). I know that a week isn't real long, but I feel much worse than I did just a week ago. Perhaps herx, perhaps I'm doing something to make things worse, I'm not sure. > > Any help or advice you may have would be appreciated. Thanks, Byron >
