I have had some limited success with a T.E.N.S. unit; for me, it can

help immensely or not at all, depending on the type of pain and where

it is.

Your physician may be able to let you try one before buying to see if

it is effective in your particular case.

My physical therapist had used a tens on my shoulder. It helped some

when they used it. But that was right before I stopped PT. I went

for 7 months. I kept telling my doctor that the physical therapy

actually made the pain worse but the doctor insisted that I continue

going. I had no choice but to go since it was a workmen's comp case.
