Guest guest
Hi Joanne, pesticides are a known porph trigger and I'm sure it would be better if I can transition to eating only organic. I don't think that porphyria can be " cured " by this, but it could certainly be a step toward reducing porph attacks. Any reduction in attacks would be helpful. I think that once I get the porph attacks under control, I will then be able to go lower carb. Right now the top priority is doing something about the mold in my house which is keeping me almost constantly in attack. Thanks for finding this video. I've searched for porphyria on you tube before and this one never came up. Taking biotin and probiotics is helping to get the candida under control. And taking coconut oil. It's a slow process this way, but it is working. I do believe people on this list are finding healing. I do believe there can be more healing for my fibro even though its root cause is the porphyria. But I have been discouraged lately as I have been doing so many healing things and still feel so lousy. Thanks for your encouragement. > > > > This video is a bit odd, but I think they are just trying their best with what they have got > > They are basically claiming eating all organic can cure Porphyria. This makes sense, but this can be expensive > > Personally I have found that growing my own organic veg has really brought the cost down for me. I can do this because the folk on freecycle have given me a greenhouse, lots of compost bins, plant pots, manure, compost , tools, in fact everything I need to grow my own veg. > > > If you have never done this before then one of the easiest plants to grow is herbs. And also, from my experience I have found herbs are in fact one of the easiest plant foods for us to digest, and they keep candida at bay when eaten with the other good foods Bee mentions > > I know right now you cannot do Bees diet but if you are able to incorporate as many of the foods she advises into your diet these foods will help you get well > > Myself, I only buy 50% of my meat organic. I would like to buy more, but I cannot afford it. 50% or so is fine because I and many others on Bees diet have gotten well not eating fully all organic meat. I do try very hard to buy organic eggs. Right no we have a house for chickens, we just need to build the fencing around it and then we are getting some chickens so that we can have organic veg > > In regards to the fats we eat, I eat several of the fats mentioned in the video coconut oil, olive oil, and I do ensure these are organic. My butter is not always organic but it is always grass fed. According to the Weston Price site Kerrygold is the best butter > > I think the reason why these folk in the video are doing well with organic is because when we eat all organic we avoid pesticides, and pesticides both deplete enzymes and also increase problems with candida. I cannot 100% eat organic but over time I have found several sources at a good price. When I get time I will post a few leads that might be useful regarding this > > In the mean time here is the video I referred to > > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI199XplCqE > > Love Joanne > >
