I find that I need to constantly ask friends and restaurants if paprika is in

their food.

Another reminder I Hop Restaurant puts batter in their omelets.

I always ask the waiter to make sure that the batter is not added or I can

become

gravely ill. That certainly perks their ears and respect my request.

I did not know about the paprika, and was a bit surprized when you mentioned it,

generally I tolerate spices quit well.

st

Having said that I do not eat paprika because I do not like the taste, this got

me thinking, why woud paprika affect somebody with fibro?

Anyway, I looked it up and it came up as a nightshade food. You perhaps aready

know but nightshade foods are triggers for pain and highly associated with

arthritis. Potato tomatoes and tobacco are other nightshades and these trigger

my illness so I do my best to stay away from them, but now I will add paprika to

my list because it is in no way important that i have it, and not to have it at

all is clearly a good thing

I have juest checked the list above and i am not currently eating any of the

other foods on it so again a good thing I imagine. I do not know 100% that I

have a problem with nightshades but the fact that I cannot tolerate potatoes

tomatoes and tobacco is a pretty good indicator

Thanks for letting us know about this. There are some newcomers here that

perhaps need to know about nightshade foods an i know a few folk in my everyday

life who also might benefit from this information

Honestly, it is so hard to beleive sometimes that just one food we are still

eating could be the one thing stoppping us getting well

Yes,

I find that I am craving meat pretty much. I also have noticed that if I do not

have enough red meat during

the day, my craving is awful by nightfall. I have added more cod since it is

more meaty. I also eat lots of salmon.

I say I am lacking in my mineral intake that is why I have taken an interest in

L-artinine and glutithione

(by the way Dr. Oz said to take it by powder and use it on meals, i.e., salads).

I am feeling much better and am getting back to my full schedule. I am not on

computer much, I

have been doing lesson plans and that is why have been on this website much

lately.

Again I want to emphasize that since starting on L-artinine I have found my

swelling has gone down. I feel

better and am getting some of my energy back. But again I have cut total starch

and grains. I found I cannot

tolerate paprika. This is a particular spice that many are not aware that may be

doing a lot of damage. I can

feel it immediately. I lose all my energy and system begins reacting painfully.

The Hubby and I plan to go to Whole Foods Store to find some real organic

chocolate. I am looking forward

to going. It is a neat store, well known, that only sells organic items. By the

way, this is the store I did four 30 feet

(9.144 meters)by 50 feet(15.24meters) of mural designs when it first opened a

few years ago.

Have been doing lots of painting and the diocese here in the city of Austin is

waiting to see my work to hang in the

diocese center. Am looking forward to all the big steps I once again am taking

since am feeling better,

Praise God!

Take Care and God Bless,

I know what you are talking about with the red meat, I was eating it every

single day. I don't think that is too bad a thing but I did get wondering why I

am always wanting it. I still do not know but I think it is because it is tasty

and filling. Don't forget I used to fill up on starch before I new how bad it is

for me. Now without the carbs and processed foods my diet is pretty limited

I still do eat a lot of red meat, mainly because I know it contains many of the

nutrients I need and basically because I now know meat is where we are supposed

to get most of our nutrients from. But to help me cut down a bit I have now

started buying a small amount of fresh fish daily

Because it is fresh and not frozen it is always there when i open the fridge. I

would not normally choose fish first, I prefer the red meat. But because it is

there right in front of me basically saying eat me or I end up going off, I now

tend to eat more fish LOL

This is what I do with a few things that I know I need to eat but dont exactly

want to over indulge in

It works for me, I have noticed too that if i am going to eat fish I prefer it

in the day. I do not know what this is but i always want proper meat for my

evening meal, but am less fussy for lunch. So when i am out i often say to

myself I will eat some fish now because I have meat at home for later. I have

found a couple of cafes where they are willing to fry the fish in butter for me

too, without batter, so this helps a lot. i just asked and 2 said they would do

it, I am getting like this with everything nowadays, telling shop owners what i

want. It is working as well, quit a few of them have been going out of their way

for me..........................mmm recession LOL

another thing that has helped me cut down on my protein has been increasing my

fat. This was very hard for me at first but now that my body is is used to

running on fat I have more energy too, and better weight loss

I was doing well with the weight loss until I reintroduced dairy. The only dairy

i eat is unpaturised cheese. From what i can tell it is not triggering my

illness but it has definately slowed my weight loss down.

Nuts also, I dont know with them, one day I am OK with them the next not, so I

have for now given up on them again, since doing so my weight loss has started

up again, but this is recent so i cannot be certain if this is an effect or a

coincidence

I like the red meat the best and genuinely think the red meat is the best meat

for me. The offal is also good. i do not crave the taste but enjoy it when I

have it. And the bone broth, is I think making some difference too

Hope at least some of this is helpful

All my love Joanne

Subject: Re: Re: : Glutathione

Glutathione is an antioxidant that is a really small molecule that does a heck

of a job. It is great for those who do not

have a healthy diet regimen. For those who have fresh vegetables and fresh meat

are said to be just fine. BUT I quote

from the site itself: " ..Something that can help your body repair damage caused

by stress, pollution, radiation, infection, drugs, poor diet, aging, injury,

trauma, and burns...

" Antioxidants -- the most well known of which are vitamins C and E -- are

important for good health because they neutralize free radicals, which

can build up in cells and cause damage. Because glutathione exists

within the cells, it is in a prime position to neutralize free radicals. It also

has potentially widespread health benefits because it can be

found in all types of cells, including the cells of the immune system,

whose job is to fight disease. " ...

" But when people have actually tried to use glutathione as an oral

supplement, nasal spray, or intravenously, the results have been more of a

preliminary nature. "

Since it mentions immune system, my ears perked up. I have noticed I always...I

mean always am hankering for red meat. I wonder now if I lack this

antioxidant. I am awaiting my order. Although studies have shown that capsules

are not as affective as injections, research has recommended them as

well...some is better than none.

Take Care and hope all have a great Memorial Day Weekend.

Thanks ,

Actually I used to take glutathione tablets, but not sure they were of help, but

I was not on Bee's diet then. I eat more meat now than then, and my digestion is

better, so perhaps now I can get it in a form I can use from food, or absorb the

tablets better.

it is highly affective, but only when injected, and the cost is very high, and

the treatment has to be repeated

version and a supositary version. from memory I have been told the pills do not

work, but the suppositories might do. I really do not honestly know, this is all

that I have been told, not experieinced

the suppositories are but it might be worth looking into

body needs to make Glutathione are in whey protein. My dad has some whey protein

daily, but i do not. I have not been able to find a whey protein from organic

cows that has not been pasturised that I can afford.

>

meat, eggs and unpasturised cheese i eat but generally to create large amounts

of glutathione, which is what is recommending in regards to Parkinsonsons as i

understand it the levels i am eating are not enough. But they will help and

because they are all coming from natural sources this also helps because the

body absorbs amino acids from natural sources better than it does from unnatural

sources

>

> what I also understand is low glutathione levels is usually caused by a

sluggish digestive system and especially if we have poor liver function. I

already know my digestion has been affected by fibro. It is far better right

now, but in the past was terrible. I have always been told that my liver

function has been in range, but as you all know by now being told these things

usually holds no relavence, so i do not know how well my liver functions. I

assume it is in range but guess it will be at the lower end

tremendously. they also help the body clean up the colon, and best of all they

do not kill any bacteria

>

> The glutatione rush only clears out the toxicity in the colon, it does not

have an antibacterial effect. In other worlds unlike antibiotics it does not

turn our colon flora into fungus. the glutathione clears the toxicity and then

once that is gone if there are any problems with pathogens they will go too, but

not because I have just battered my eco environment to a pulp. No on the

contrary, the glutathione makes the colon a very hospital place for the gut

flora that we do need to remove the now fragments of toxicity there

>

> This I think is how and why glutathione clears up Parkinsons and other

autoimmune illnesses. I beleive that natural rush from the liver clears a very

lot of toxicity from the body and once that poison has gone any bacteria that

was inadvertantly letting off toxic poison will also be gone

> As yet i have not convinced my dad that the coffee enemas are the answer, but

i am thinking that if i can get hold of the dr Oz program, it might be worth

raising this issue with him again
