Guest guest
, Debbie and Dale-- Thank you so much for the encouragement and information you've given me so far. I'm glad I participated in the list . In my first note I failed to mention that I've been wondering about a parasite, and Dale seems to have hit the nail on the head. I spent time in China in 1988 and became very ill for about a week. At first I thought I was coming down with the flu, but then in the middle of the night I had to run to the bathroom and lets just say I had the strangest BM of my life to date. It's hard to talk about this, but I think you all can handle it, and I want your opinions on it. It was like turning on a fire hose--I had no idea where all this brown water was coming from. There was nothing solid about it. It seemed like gallons of water, with intese cramps. It also had a rotten egg smell, which I was told later by someone is associated with a " bug " . At this particular hotel I was the only one to make tea from the thermos of water in the room. Normally it was really hot, but this time I noticed it was only warm. I just thought it had been there all day and had cooled down by the time we checked in that evening, but afterward I realized it probably had never been boiled in the first place and had just been filled with warm water before we arrived. The other people never became ill. We were very careful about what we ate and this thermos of water is the only thing I can think of where I may have picked something up. For about a solid year after I returned from China I suffered with the rotten egg, loose bowel mess. I had to relieve myself almost immediately following a meal. ( I was only 23 years old). Since then it hasn't bothered me. I always thought I had " passed " whatever it was. After reading things these past few weeks, however, I'm led to believe " it " is still there. Whatever I read seems to apply to me--Leaky Gut, liver congestion......maybe I'm really a hypochondriac. Things I have done so far: quit drinking Coke(my only vice), eat mostly raw foods, psyllium husk to stay regular, occasional enemas in conjuction with juice fasts of Apple/Beet juice. My psoriasis is doing great. I'm wondering if my sulfur-tasting breath is because until recently I was a daily coke drinke, or if it's still from that chinese bug that smelled of rotten eggs.....hmmmm. I always write more than I intend to. Sorry, just really getting into this new lifestyle. Janet
