If I am eating fish, I always cook it in butter and when I put that on the plate I pour the butter over it like it is a sauce I sometimes boil veg, usually brocilli and cauliflower, but could be several others and at the end mash them in butter and salt, and sometimes herbs Remeber now our carbs are so low we need a form of enrgy and the fat gives us that energy, and the more fat we have, frankly, the better LOL You will be very surprised, when you become a 'fat eater' you appetite will go right down and at the normal times that you eat you may find you are not hungry. If this happens, do not force yourself to eat, instead wait a while. If you are anything like me your eating pattern is going to change I eat at 8pm, 2pm and 7pm. the 8pm is the time when I take most of my supplements, 2pm is actually only a small lunch, and the only substantial meal I have is the 7pm meal, and even this is not enormous. My body is so satisfied on this meal I so very rarely want anything in between, but if I did I would have something. Like I said I do not feel hungry, and have so little desire for food, but I stilll do eat, simply to ensure my body recives the nutrition I know it needs to function , I have lost 57lb using this diet, and although I do have some healing reactions they are generally very mild. After 20 years of living with shear agonising pain for 20 years, I am now vertually pain free, and never need medication, appart from when I loose my ketosis. Then I take paracetamol for a few days whilst I get myself ack into ketosis Please do not worry too much about getting into ketosis right now, you might end up in it anyway, and if not you can over time adjust your carbs to get you there, but for now if you simply relax, and enjoy, and most importantly know in your heart that this is by far the most gentle and loving thing you can do for your body, breath deaply, and just know, any difficulties you do face will become easier and easier to get by with All my love Joanne ->>It is the coconut oil I have difficulty with I cannot always get enough down me. << Joanne - this is how I make sure I get 5.5 Tbsp CO: 3.5 Tbsp in my egg drink (2 eggs, 3.5 T CO, T butter, 1/2 c well-cooked broc, hot water) Then 1 melt the other two Tbsp in the two cups of bone broth I have
Guest guest
thanks Joanne. I am going to stick with it, some days make me mad, I ran out of time yesterday to get the things I said I would get. I had to stay at work a little longer than usual. then I only had time to eat and take pills and go to bed. I will try again tomorrow Joy ________________________________ To: fibromyalgiacured Sent: Tue, April 26, 2011 6:10:42 PM Subject: Re: Re: (how I get extra fat) I think the fact that you do not crave food like I used to is a good sign, addiction can really mess all this stuff up for folk What I found was low carbing made it easier for me to control my eating and this is how I got down from 7 meals aday to 3 with no snacks. Low carbibg made everything easy, but when I tried to get into ketosis this was extremely painful for me, my joints ached and I felt really poorly, like I was dying in fact. but after 4 days of this torment, WOW, and I mean WOW all my pain, and the craziness that went with it just disappeared You might not have this same 'dragging you down' feeling I got when you try it, but where you might struggle is finding something worthwhile to eat when you have been doing this a long while lile me you kind of get used to your meals being a bit bland, devoid of sauces, and scrummy stuff, but as time goes by and you do start finding good sources of wholesome food you actually start tasting the difference in the food, good food, does actually taste good, in fact very good, so good in fact that now that all I eat is correct food, all I want is this food, and it is not a craving, it is a genuine appreciation, but this is only something I realised once I got away from all the toxic food and got over the withdrawel, which in all took around 3 months after I gave up the last nasty thing which in my case was cocoa LOL I have never had any trouble what so ever with any of the supplements Bee recommends, all of them have agreed with me. I think this is because Bee deliberately tries to find supplements that are made from proper food. A few of her supplements are manufactured but she even gives you a choice on this. For instance if you do not fancy the Vitamin B complex you can use Brewers Yeast, and if you are not crazy on the calcium and magnesium you can use bone broth. The thing with me though is, I dont wantthe Brewers Yeast right now because it contains more carbs that the complex, and I dont bother with the bone broth because I am lazy, but for fortunately I have been making it now a few days a week, so who knows maybe soon I will wean on it This is what I wanted to tell you. Even when you have been on this diet for a few years you might find there are things you should really be doing and you still are not doing. Much depends on our commitment, I am commited but I have my foibles. The main thing is I now do not eat any foods that harm me, and although I am not 100% doing the diet correctly, I am doing it by around 90% and to be hinest I do think 90% is good. i can still learn things and I am still learning One thing I did learn recently, not about the diet but something you can do in conjunction with the diet is that Epson Salt Baths not only help with muscle relaxation it helps with detox when my muscles where bad I had a fair few epson salt baths, but since they have been OK I have not had as many. Now I am thinking it might be better to start having them again because anything that does help us detox, keeps us well This gentle detox systems remove toxin. In my case I believe these toxins are probably mercury, aliminium, pesticides, and electromagnetism, but there could be hundreds of things in my body, I have lived a very toxic life, amongst very toxic people, and in the past, rather toxic myself, not dealing with my feelings appropriately Anyway, things are a lot better in my life now and I ahve learned how to get awy from situations that make me ill. And I have also learned how to seek out situations that make me well, my favourite being my garden. I am finally getting there with this veg growing and I am getting really excited already LOL Anyway I cannot stay online long tonight, but I do hope to share more with you soon. So glad you are here on this site Love joanne --- On Tue, 26/4/11,
