Guest guest
And good for , Cari! I've never heard of this fat pocket thing- I wonder how common it is and if the fat would " disolve " or reabsorb when medications are stopped? Or if need be, could it be removed successfully? Scheria (what a lovely name)- have you been on prednisone all along and at what dosage? Have you had any recent or ongoing test- blood tests, etc. An EMG? Is your weakness all over or in certain muscle groups- shoulders, hips, arms, legs? Has it progressed over these years or stayed the same? I know- too many questions! My name is and I was diagnosed with PM when I was 21. Prednisone at that time seemed to help, though I didn't stay on it long (my choice) and I gradually improved and went into remission. Dear Teddi- you're in a similar " boat " as I- heck, we all are to one degree or another! Hope the drugs help. I almost wish MY Christmas was over and done with! I have been overdoing, especially yesterday, and HURT. Love
Guest guest
, It can't actually be removed, but the younger the patient the more likely it is to fix itself. I guess, but just guessing, that would mean it would be absorbed and/or dissolve. No medication, just rest. He is supposed to be off all prendisone by April and that would of course help. I won't bother to tell you to take it easy as that is impossible this time of year but do take care!! Hugs, Cari --- julie steinmuller wrote: > And good for , Cari! Guest guest
Hi ... I agree with you. I'm ready for Christmas to be over with. Isn't that sad? While I don't hurt (Pain wise) I do have muscle pain when I walk. It goes away when I lay down. It's beautiful here today. Sunny and about 72° already. Hope you have a great day..... somehow we'll all get through this season. Take care, Vicki

I hate that test the most. My weakness is all over my body. It seems hard to do everything, but no worries, because i'm still doing things my way. I just graduated from college this past weekend. (S.C. State University.) How long have you been in remission? easy, ria _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Guest guest
Scheria You do have an unusual last name. I can see why some people might think it's your first name.... Now, I also wanted to send my CONGRATULATIONS on graduating from college. That is just wonderful. Now what is next on your list of achievements? I'm not sure I read your post correctly... are you currently on 60 mg of Prednisone? How much Imuran are you on and how long have you been on it? While I was in the hospital I had an EMG and to tell you the truth, I was too sick to notice the test. Then about 4 months later I had another one and all I can say is OUCH...OUCH...OUCH.. I told my Rheumy I would do anything for him but I would never have another EMG test again. Vicki-PM
Guest guest
vicki, you read correctly, i am on 60mg of prednisone a day, and i am on 90mg of imuran. personally, i don't think this stuff works because i have been on it since 1994. Thank you everyone for your support on my graduation. But as i mentioned in an earlier text, i will be going home tomorrow and i need to get a lot of things together when i move back home. It willbe a while before i can conversate with you via internet. so if there aren't any responses from me, it isn't because i am ignoring any of you. please be patient with me and i will be back as soon as i can. thanks for your replies, and i'll be back really soon. i'll always be, ria (easy) _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
