Guest guest
Hello I'm doing much better. Finally got my Lyrica. What a pain to have to go thru that. Now I'm feeling quite dizzy being back on the Lyrica after not having it for five days but at least I'm able to get off the couch or out of bed, spent most my time on the couch really. I'm hoping eventually to be able to wean off of it someday soon. Haven't started the Bees diet yet. I guess I'm afraid I will fail our not stock with it. I have trouble with not sticking with things I really should. Like exercise. I'm thinking of trying on monday. Argh! Love you all > > , I tried one time but the pain was too intense to wean off of. I am still on it and have been for a couple of years. I do have the hope of trying again sometime this year. Lyrica is very costly without insurance, I wish I could help. > Carol B. > > > > ________________________________ > > To: fibromyalgiacured > Sent: Thursday, July 21, 2011 6:06 PM > Subject: Re: Lyrica > > >  > > > Most meds take about 4 days but (not that I am an expert on Lyrica) I think one > of the problems you will have if you wean off this medication is that your > 'neurons' will all be out of plonk again > > As you know I do not believe we should take medication to rebalance 'neurons' > but this is not easy and with the withdrawel and all I would suspect you are > feeing pretty aweful. Guest guest
Hi, Lyrica did not help me any more than Neurontin, which was cheaper. When you give up a drug, the withdrawals are usually pain, even if you had no pain before. Pain can be our body getting rid of toxins of any kind, and drugs stop that process, and we don't heal. I was able to get off neurontin, but it was not easy. With Bee's diet, I took in less toxins, and got better nutrition, and it helped. I started gradually though, as her site instructs us. Moving around helps us get rid of toxins, but you don't have to do that to an excess when you first start the diet. Sometimes you will feel more tired and sleepy, as your body changes over to burning fats. Joanne explained some on how the diet helps prevent pain. Best wishes, c > > > > , I tried one time but the pain was too intense to wean off of. I am still on it and have been for a couple of years. I do have the hope of trying again sometime this year. Lyrica is very costly without insurance, I wish I could help. > > Carol B. > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: Joanne Ford <joannesford@> > > To: fibromyalgiacured > > Sent: Thursday, July 21, 2011 6:06 PM > > Subject: Re: Lyrica > > > > > >  > > > > > > Most meds take about 4 days but (not that I am an expert on Lyrica) I think one > > of the problems you will have if you wean off this medication is that your > > 'neurons' will all be out of plonk again > > > > As you know I do not believe we should take medication to rebalance 'neurons' > > but this is not easy and with the withdrawel and all I would suspect you are > > feeing pretty aweful. Guest guest
Hello I am glad you are feeling better and you got your Lyrica. It is difficult to start and you can pick a few things to start with like exercise, staying away from sugar, stay away from sodas, taking the coconut oil. You will start to feel better and then add more items. Also what I think is most important is for all of us to know our boundries and not take too much on. Dont be afraid to fail we all do and we pick up and start again. Take it day by day I also use Arnica gel which can be found at health stores for my soreness its a natural anti inflammatory. We are here to share good and bad .  Ciao- Ange  ________________________________ To: fibromyalgiacured Sent: Sat, July 23, 2011 9:41:24 PM Subject: Re: Lyrica  Hello I'm doing much better. Guest guest
There was a time last year that I was having trouble getting the Lyrica approved by my insurance so my doctor put me on Neurontin. I started to have depression side effects. Well after a month of being on it, the depression got so bad I couldn't function, was crying all the time, couldn't take care of my kids, etc. Basically I ended up putting myself in a psyche ward. Was in there for five days. They helped me get my Lyrica and I have been taking a low dosage of anti depressants...Celexa. I've been on Lyrica for four years now and tramadol. The tramadol makes me tired at times and the Lyrica has changed my vision...eyesight got a bit worse. I don't have too many complaints. It works for me its just that I dont like being dependant on medication. Before the fibro, I never took any meds on a regular basis. I hardly took ibuprofen. It has become a pain in the bottom taking these cursed things everyday, 3x a day. And if I sleep in in the morning and don't get my meds in me at the right time, I am worthless for two to three hours. Its also scary to me that if something should happen to where I can no longer get my meds, where will I be then? I have ben through the withdrawals too many times, I have been to the emergency room too many times. My life has been so consumed by this damned illness. I have become a totally different person. I am bitter, angry, depressed, inactive, sad, , you name it. I don't want to be like this anymore. I need to find something that will help me get off these meds and feeling like my old self again, if thats possible. So I'm going to do this Bees diet, I'm going to tel myself that its ok if I stumble a little. Just pick myself back up and get back on the horse, so to speak. Lol. I will tell you, I am so grateful for having found all of you. You understand. You give your time to help and encourage. I just wish we all could actually tall in person. I have no friends anymore, I became a hermit and lost contact with all of them. It would be fabulous if we all could actually meet for lunch or tea...i think I'm just going through a feeling of loneliness lately. I do not have a husband orboyfriend. I haven't been able to cry over events that have happened to me that I should have let myself mourn over. I have so much bottled up inside. I can't afford a therapist. I hardly talk to God anymore. Im sorry...I'm complaining. I just want things to change. It all is so overwhelming. I thank you all for being here. I hardly know you but I feel a deep love for you all already. My sisters.
