Guest guest
Hi Michele I've never included Ornithine even when I did the cleanse. I have, once or twice, used Valerian Root tincture if I thought I might have trouble sleeping, but most often I've not used anything and I don't believe it has hindered the cleanse in any way. just my .02 rachel~ In a message dated 02/22/2002 10:12:38 AM Eastern Standard Time, michele_vaudin@... writes: << Just a quicky about Ornithine. I have bought some but it doesn't mention anywhere that this helps enduce sleep and that it is a " food supplement " . They also sold me the L-Ornithine capsules (which says to take 1 a day) - so will taking 4 of these harm the cleanse or not? And is L-Orithine the same as Ornithine? Has anyone else included this is their liver cleanse (Dr 's method) and does it matter if you miss it out? >>
Guest guest
Hi, I've done the liver cleanse with and without the Ornithine capsules. I don't notice that it makes any difference for me, one way or the other. However, I more often than not, take the 4 prescribed capsules called for in Dr. 's cleanse. The capsules I take are 500mg each, and are called vegicaps. Serving size is one per day, with juice or water. The label does identify it as a dietary supplement. Everything I've read about Ornithine confirms what you've stated, and I'd like to add that I've read (sorry I can't remember the source-it was a from a search I did on the internet though) that the jury is out regarding it's helpfulness as a dietary supplement. Not that there is anything harmful about it, just that it's one of those supplements that have not been proven to actually be that beneficial. Guest guest
Forgot to add that the label also identifies it as L-Ornithine...don't know what the L stands for, but I'm pretty sure this is what we are supposed to be taking.
