Guest guest
Yes, I believe that my retained placenta was the reason I was not producing enough milk. When there is enough placenta retained, it sends the message to your uterus that it is still pregnant which, in turn, keeps the " switch " in your system that starts the flow of breast milk from being turned " on " because your body thinks you are still pregnant. My current RE and OB have confirmed this. Still makes me so angry to think about. I don't know about the cervix and it's healing. My cervix was completely scarred before my surgery. Blocked entirely. As to whether women experience " re-scarring " in their cervixes after removal of adhesions, I don't know. (And hope I never find out personally!) :-} Birth Control pills will keep you from ovulating...they will not prevent the formation or growth of endometrium,....it is true that women who take them often have shorter periods because they don't grow as much endometrium because the pills keep their estrogen level artificially controlled and " level " over the course of their cycle. Most women who are not on the pills experience significant shifts in their estrogen level each month....large surges and then significant drops....this is what causes pre-menstrual symptoms in so many women and why women who take birth control pills have reduced symptoms.
