Dear Cheryl, To be totally open and honest it hurts me to hear him being defended.....Although I know that what you are saying could be the case...Although I know several friends that have had D & Cs after pregnancies, one with an infection even, that didn't get ashermans... Sorry if I sound so upset...I am just a fellow ashermans sufferer that is frustrated with what happened to me..Please don't take this personally. :) I just had a very bad experience....My problem was that I lost all amniotic fluid for the last triplet and it did not reaccummulate. So we sought out the advice of a maternal fetal medicine doctor for what to do next..the doc advised to induce labor right then so that we would not get an infection.. because the baby was going to die sooner or later...we waited a few weeks for the baby to die... He continued to live and curl up more and more without fluid....We then decided to induce labor at 20 weeks...I was in labor room for 36 hours as they tried to induce labor with suppositories... He was born and lived 15 mins....I had no infection at time of delivery.....The medical reports also said that the placenta was fragmented..... So I have no idea why they didn't do an ultrasound right away to look for retained placenta before an infect could have set in...especially when I called about 8 times saying something is not right.... My research since then shows that there is a 10% chance of retained placenta of premature deliveries between the weeks of about 16-26. We had 7 years of infertility doctors. I had 6 IUI cycles with Clomid, One IUI with fertinex, 2 IVF cycles one before ashermans (triplets) - One after ashermans (failed), go preg. on our own 10 months after balloon surgery with periods lasting 24-36 hours and a 4-5mm endo. lining. I had just given up hoping to have any children and was moving on when we got pregnant. Did you have infertility before ashermans? What is your endo. lining measure? How long are your periods and how heavy are they? Again please don't take my frustration personally... Please try to step into my shoes.... The thing about the a video tape just made me think that something was up... I think that Dr Malo is a good Doc for ashermans also ....He has a wonderful bed side manner and is very nice..... My husband is from Minnesota also. A brother-in-law and 3 sister-in-laws live in the Twin Cities Areas as well as many of our long time friends. Go Vikings!!! Sorry if I sounded hard Cheryl and ...it is just hard to hear about the doc I went to with a normal uterus only to end up with the loss triplets and ashermans..I think you can understand... Love, Amy
