Gallbladder and essential oils

Hi

I dugout my Essential Oil Desk Reference this afternoon to look up the gall

bladder and liver.

I found:

Risk Factors

Being Overweight decreases gallbladder emptying and results in a dramatically

higher risk for gallstones.

Being over 60 or being female and middle aged. (20-60)

Using excess estrogen from hormone replacement therapy or birth control pills

(gee ladies, aren't we the lucky ones)

Using cholesterol-lowering drugs. While these drugs can lower cholesterol in

the bloodstream, they can raise cholesterol in the gallbladder. ( I did not

know this either, very interesting)

Being diabetic. Diabetics suffer higher levels of triglycerides, which can

increase the likelihood of getting gallstones.

Rapid weight loss. This forces the liver to pump out extra cholesterol, which

can become concentrated in the bile.

If anyone is using or familiar with essential oils and their use, they recommend

using Geranium & Lavender together over the gallbladder area along with a hot

compress and also you can put the Geranium on the accupressure points on the

bottom of your feet.

Also they discuss how the bile is also extremely important for the absorption of

vitamins A, D and E.

Okay, so being that we know our bodies makes it's own cholesterol from the fats

it consumes, then we must also be aware that the kind of cholesterol our bodies

is making could be more of what is causing us the waxy cholesterol stones. They

are this way from the type of fat.....those fats that harden at room

temperature....too many of them....

Peace

Lu

,

Splendid idea! It's always amazing when we meet up with

serendipity....teehehe.....you seem to do this often in your walk, and there

again could it be the intuitive voice you follow without really knowing why

until it presents itself at a later time. ;-)

I too sometimes forget the great healing potential essential oils have used

with other components of alternative medicine.

Peace

Lu

gallstones

Thanks, Lu - I have both of those and will start using them tonight with the

castor oil pack. (Isn't it weird - I have no idea why I had Geranium Oil.) I

have an appointment for reflexology on Wednesday afternoon before my next

gallbladder cleanse and I will take some in for the massage therapist to use.

I had planned to have him focus on the gallbladder area of the foot anyway.

This is great information, Lu! Gotta love this list. :)
