Went to my OB-GYN follow up appointment. My doctor says the fibroids seem to

be about the same as they were six months ago, so apparently the pill

(tri-levlen, birth control) IS keeping them in check. I asked her if she

thought the Lupron shots might have shrunk them so much that she didn't see

them when she did the myomectomy back in Feb. '99; she said it's possible,

but there's really no way of knowing.

I also asked her what she would have prescribed had I not gotten started on

the Lupron shots (because I recalled that she had said she wouldn't have

necessarily gone that route), but she said she didn't remember saying that,

and that there wasn't any reason not to have used Lupron on me. Hmm. I also

asked about my bone density test being negative one-point-seven [-1.7]; she

asked where they tested (my heel), and she said the heel tests aren't always

that accurate. She also said the Lupron's effects wouldn't last two years...

Anyway, I'll see a regular doctor about the bone situation next week.
