Guest guest
Hi : I think from my understanding the way antibiotics are related to fibro is that the antibiotics kill good bacteria in our gut. Then our gut bacteria get out of balance and some of the supposedly bad bacteria begins to cause digestives disturbances. This then means we do not get proper nutrition from our food and sometimes get what is called leaky gut. When leaky gut happens molecules of food go into our blood stream causing inflammation in our muscles tissues and other places too. Do you have digestive issues? If so, I would go to natural remedies for it like homepathics, naturopaths, chinese herbs and fix your digestive system with natural supplements to get your body stronger. The other aspect of antiobiotics is that they can lower our immune system that we are open to viruses. Some believe that fibro is a virus. Nobody knows for sure but many people have viruses that have fibro. I read somewhere online that 42 fibro¹s were tested and 42 of them had a small intestine infection. This could come from too many antibiotics lowering our immune system or from allowing our own bacteria to get out of balance. The idea is to create balance in the gut again. You need a professional that is holistic to tell you how to do that. Let us know what happens ok/ Thanks rosemarie > > > > > > Hello > > I am new to this group and do not yet fully understand what goes on here but I > have been reading through your previous posts and it seems some of you are > saying Fibromyalgia is caused by antibiotics. Guest guest
Hi RoseMarie, I remember years ago when I had my first attack of fibro. I was only 20 then. My late husband had to go to another town to do work there as he worked for the railways back then. He was not a permanently placed person so he had to work all over the place when the other workers were having their annual holidays. I had severe diarrhea and didn't know what was causing it. I thought maybe I'd eaten something bad but it wasn't that. I was in my house for about 10 days laying down hardly daring to move. No phone, no car, no way to contact anyone to help me. I felt so ill. Then an Aunt and Uncle came to visit me unexpectedly and I had to get up and from then on I got a little better. It didn't end there though. The diarrhea kept on coming back and I didn't know why. The stupid doctors there knew nothing about fibromyalgia and all the symptoms. It was a reasonably common condition though as I found out later. Nowadays they know more about FMS. I've found out about the gluten intolerance so I steer clear of that and whatever gluten is in that I WON'T eat. I use rice based biscuits and put butter and cream cheese or peanut butter on. If my son cooks dinner I have to be careful what I eat because he uses hamburger rolls etc. I've found a new brand of big rice biscuits that I can put anything on. They're almost the size of a saucer. I stick mainly to vegetables and occasional meat. If I dare to eat pasta of any sort I will be ill for a day or two after. But there are gluten free products for that too. More expensive though.
